" As much as I have been enjoying Ruby Dixon's IPB series, this book didn't sit as well with me. While I appreciated the longer form and the more detailed characters and story arcs, this particular book leaned too heavy into misogyny, jealousy, and possessiveness for me. It's played off as if to be funny, but it's just not my jam, so it just fell flat for me. Also, the FMC doesn't really grow all that much, and the entire book fails the Bechdel Test so hard it's kindof embarrassing. If you enjoy a growling MMC who threatens to dismember people for glancing at the FMC, this may be more your speed than mine. Rating: 3½??/5. Sex: several moderate R-rated scenes.
