No one captures a perfect picture of a couple finding one another quite like Nora Roberts, the #1 New York Times bestselling “word artist” (Los Angeles Daily News), who focuses on the intense passion that develops between a model and the man captivated by her in Blithe Images.
Mode Magazine is one of New York City’s premier fashion glossies and Hilary Baxter has just been contracted as one of their models. The culture shock she experiences between her small-town Kansas life and the glamour of the Big Apple is nothing compared to the thrill she gets when Mode’s charismatic publisher Bret Bardoff takes a personal interest in guiding her career. Unable to resist Bret’s seductive allure, Hilary’s infatuation turns into love—a love she hopes is strong enough for Bret to see the person behind the beauty.

"I loved it! The way Nora Roberts detailed the characters was phenomenal, and the plot was just as extraordinary! Nora Roberts written this beautifully and captured not only my attention and I trust but probably, and most likely, many other readers also."

" i just didn't like the fact that hillary was just weak! She was an absolute chore to read about and Bret just basically walked all over her. Why couldn't she say no to him and mean it? Ugh absolutely frustrating "
— Linda, 2/14/2014" I am in the midst of re-reading all of Nora's books while I wait for some new books to come out. I reread this one and I am not sure what to think. It is a little hokey and you can tell it is early Nora Roberts. But I am also of the opinion that Nora doesn't write "bad" books, just some are better than others. This is not her best, but it is still a good, easy read. Hillary is a top model, Bret is the owner of a top magazine. After meeting at a photo shoot, he offers her the layout of her dreams. They have a relationship based on misunderstandings. You can't help but hope they would just have a conversation to clear the air. You wont love it like her newer novels, but you'll enjoy it. "
— Cherise, 1/30/2014" really slow to get started but not a bad ending "
— Emily, 1/25/2014" My first Nora Roberts novel. In my opinion it was the same predictable story line. Girl gets job, boss is smitten. Girl can't compete as rich boss has girlfriend. Girl runs away back home to Kansas. Boss follows girl and makes confession love...smh "
— Anita, 1/18/2014" Another smooth read by Ms. Roberts. The only problem I have with these books is that after a while, they all start feeling the same. Sometimes, the same old, same old is comforting. I know I can always count on Ms. Roberts for a fast enjoyable read. "
— ♆, 1/9/2014" Quite contrived. I coulda wrote it. "
— Hpreeder, 12/29/2013" Love Nora Roberts- some of her older books like this date themselves with men smoking being cool but always a good romance. "
— Niki, 12/19/2013" Too unbelievable to capture my interest "
— Jacinta, 12/8/2013" I found this book to be a total joke. Totally unbelievable storyline, characters and situations. It was irritating at times even!!! "
— Shari, 12/6/2013" I thought it was a sweet story. I didn't like the male main character. He was all over the place. I mean one minute he was a jerk and seconds later he was sweet. He had too much inconsistancy. "
— Rinku, 11/23/2013" I absolutely LOVED this book. I was hooked at the first chapter. I love the characters in this book. I wish she would have made this ar least a trilogy. I was disappointed when the book ended. "
— Bethanie, 11/18/2012" Enjoyed this short story. "
— Jeannette, 7/31/2012" It is amazing how quickly technological advances antiquate parts of a novel. "
— Academicsupport, 4/5/2012" Nice setting - ok story - good for a quick read. "
— Annette, 5/7/2011" It was play - by the end i decided it was very Pride & Prejudice like. "
— Sharon, 4/22/2011" Meh, meh, mehity, meh. Not at all up to the standards I've come to expect from Roberts work. While most of her novels are predictable and follow certain formulas this one has almost zero personality. "
— Michelle, 12/26/2010" It was an okay read. Just a lame love story. "
