"For some reason, I LOVE books about an ugly to average looking guy who falls for a beautiful woman and she actually loves him back! especially when he is all rugged and manly :) and of course treats her like a princess!!! xoxo loved it to be honest."

" The overall story was a good one and typical of historical romance books. Arranged marriage turns to love, etc. The problem I had with the book was the male character's perception of himself. He considers himself ugly and unworthy of any pretty woman's love yet has all the confidence in the world as a knight and warrior. I found this part a bit hard to believe. "

" sebenarnya ceritanya bagus, diawal - awal sempat membuat saya tertarik, tapi entah kenapa seterusnya jadi hilang ketertarikannya dan sampai sekarang belum juga selesai. just, don't know.... i have lost my interest "

" Quite a readable historical romance novel, but the enormous gaps within the plot and the non-existent time sequence made it hard sometimes to keep up with everything going on. Why, I'm certain in one paragraph the heroine was four months pregnant and in the next she was going through labor. Anyway, apart from that and the hero's obsession over his not-so-nice looks, I did enjoy reading it. There were unexpected turns, mystery and plotting, murders and romance. "

" I had fun reading this book... I really like the chemistry between Thayer and Gytha... And what an appropriate title!!! I was just a little bit sad that Thayer doesn't have much confidence in his looks... "

" This one was way too predictible and the heroine gets together with the love interest too quickly. "

" Not her best book, but I still really enjoyed it. There was so many ups & downs, disagreements, and mis understandings. "

" What can I say? It's Hannah Howell. You read one, you have read them all. Still a good read nonetheless. In this one the hero is big, ugly, and red. But the heroine is attracted to him from the start because he had "nice eyes". I liked that :) Beauty is in the eye of the beholder they say. "

" I was good, but not great. There were at least 3 spots in the book that would have been a satisfying ending, but Ms. Howell just kept going. I think it was the typical romance plot of "must have plenty of difficulty otherwise you won't believe that they are truly happy together." "

" I liked this story alot, but I didn't really understand the "Beauty and the Beast" concept, just because the hero was big and hairy. Still a very enjoyable romance. "
