Publisher Description

Bearing an Hourglass is a fascinating, richly imagined tale that reaches beyond the normal science fiction/fantasy realm. When life seems pointless to Norton, he accepts the position of Incarnation of Time. With the other incarnations-Death, Fate, War, and Nature already distracting him, Satan springs a cunning trap. Science fiction/fantasy legend Piers Anthony combines a gripping plot with a serious and thought-providing study of good and evil.

" This book did not age as well as the first in the series. Much of the living backwards concept just didn't fit correctly and too much time was spent in illusions for my taste. "

" Very slow; very tough slog; but interesting concepts and some parts w little better than others. Overall, rather depressing, but I don't like to quit before I finish reading. Not as good as Pale Horse... "

" This is the 2nd in the series, it worked with the concept of time. It got a bit "heady" about the different issues/concepts of time, so it got a bit twisted around at times. It was not as fast moving as the first book, but well written and interesting plot twists. "

" Bearing an Hourglass focuses on the incarnation of time. Although time has some of the more interesting powers, the storyline is just okay, which was not helped by the "ghost marriage" subplot sidetracking it. "
