Deserted by the two women in his life, Robert Sullivan is left to raise 3-year-old Nancy and her 7-year-old brother Jack. Unable to cope with his feelings of loss and the rebellious behaviour of his young son, Robert is driven to abandon his children to those who he sincerely believes can provide them with a better life.
