New York Times best-selling author Joe Schreiber pens a funny, action-packed novel that is equal parts Ferris Bueller's Day Off and La Femme Nikita. It's prom night, and Perry is looking forward to playing a gig with his band in New York City. But when his mother makes him take their quiet and geeky Lithuanian exchange student to the dance, he finds himself on a reckless ride through Manhattan-in his dad's red Jaguar-with a trained assassin.

"All stressed high school seniors should read this book for a humorous read. It was such a delight to read a funny LOL utterly fun YA novel. The essay questions at the beginning of each chapter are priceless. "

“Au Revoir, Crazy European Chick is the hilarious YA buzzbomb I’ ve been waiting for all year. Has style and wit to burn. I read the whole thing in one sitting. Buildings explode, scores are settled, and the dialog is explosively funny. Pretty much every page does it to the hilt.”
— Sean Beaudoin, author of You Killed Wesley Payne“With a breakneck pace, quick repartee, hot cars and women, a well-rendered New York City backdrop, abundant action, and some food for thought about what it means to be a man. Plain and simple, it’s a blast. A couple of them, actually.”
— Publishers Weekly“Boyer really shines in his portrayal of Gobi. Never faltering in an Eastern European-infused accent, Boyer softens his tones slightly and then knows when to bring out a nerves-of-steel delivery or give Gobi’s voice a cold or soft edge or deadpan delivery…this debut novel with a Hollywood ending will appeal to teens.”
— AudioFile“Perry is an endearingly earnest protagonist, and Gobi is pure male fantasy—an impossibly tough assassin with a heart of gold, who actually seems to fall for Perry before the night is out. Steven Boyer narrates Joe Schreiber’s exciting story and does an excellent job of voicing Gobi’s Lithuanian accent, distinguishing between supporting characters, and teasing out the novel’s sly humor. What it lacks in subtlety, it makes up for in sheer adrenaline. Violence, animal cruelty, and references to torture and human trafficking make this listen suitable for older teens.”
— School and Library Journal" A turbo-paced, edgy, YA thriller. Adult fans of Duane Swierczynski, Lee Child and the like will enjoy this--the YA trappings are minimal and never get in the way of the action. "
— Ron, 11/4/2011" This one starts off like a typical teen angst novel, but soon enough, Perry Stormaire has a lot more to worry about than bullies, high school, and cheerleaders. It's a nonstop, action/adventure shoot'em up with fast cars and hip bars, explosion and helicopters... "
— Michael, 9/7/2011" I read this in one night! Funny, fast, deftly written. Just a great book with a great voice. "
— April, 8/22/2011" 3.5.

Classic action novel. Fast paced, interesting story line, funny, bloody, twisted. Definite guy appeal on this one!

Longer review to come. I liked this one a lot more than I expected. Will go over exceedingly well with fans of Michael Northrop. "
