Publisher Description

Just a mile down the old dirt road beyond the Clanton Plantation was a Civil War battlefield that claimed the lives of thousands of Union and Confederate soldiers. For months you could hear the cannon fire that echoed across the valley. The soldier's moans and groans from the heavy gunfire could also be heard throughout the valley. The Confederate soldiers held their own for a while, but the Union soldiers were better trained and well equipped to outlast the Confederates - which led to their surrender to the Union army after three months and five days.

So many young soldiers, barely 18 years of age, were taken from this world just before they would have the chance to reach their manhood and experience love and raise their own children and teach them about life.

Mrs. Knoll didn't know it, but fixing up the plantation was a bad idea. Whenever anyone does renovations to an old home, this angers any ghosts present and sometimes leads to fatal consequences. As for Mr. Knoll - he didn't realize that having reenactments on a battlefield where thousands of Civil War soldiers lost their lives was a bad idea as well. The reenactment would only summon up an army of the dead with grave consequences for the living....

"For the first Indiana Jones Adventure book I decided to read, I thought it was good. It kept me hooked and I couldn't put it down. In the end, that's the most important thing. I was entertained. So I say that Steve Perry did his job well."

" I gave up on this about halfway through. The writing was pretty weak and the story wasn't really keeping me entertained enough to keep going, which is sad because I quite like Indiana Jones. "

" I really, really wish that Rob MacGregor would write a new Indiana Jones novel. None of the other Indy novels have come close to his, and this book, while entertaining enough I guess, is no exception. "

" Why does this book have the name "Indiana Jones" when he is barely even in it? Its not even a pulp-adventure type story like it should be. There is barely any globe-trotting, no nasty animal(s) he must fight off, and no giant bad-guy to fight. Why can't we get one good Indy novel nowadays? "

" I was a little disappointed in this book because I thought there would be more action and adventure like the original books. If you are looking for a quick and alright adventure this is the book you are looking for, but this is not the best book to be locked into especially if like a good story. "

" It's an Indiana Jones adventure, and that kinda says it all. If you like Indy, it's a lot of fun. And if you're caught up in the current zombie wave, there's lots of those, too. It's a fun read, enjoyable. "

" I thought that this was a good book. It was very entertaining. It is about how Indiana Jones goes and finds a secret pearl in Cuba. I would reccomend this book to all readers. "

" Steve Perry is an outstanding Star Wars author, but as an Indiana Jones author he's lacking with this effort. This book commits the worst possible sin for an Indy outing: boredom! A huge missed opportunity. "
