Publisher Description

In the fifth action-packed installment of James Patterson's adventure series, Daniel X is ready to face his bitter enemy: the most powerful alien in the universe.

In the fifth installment of James Patterson's action-packed Daniel X series, Daniel must now face an alien whose origins appear nearer to the depths of Hell than the outer reaches of the galaxy. Number Two on the List of Alien Outlaws is an unstoppable criminal that's slowly been amassing an underground army of disgusting, disgruntled, and dangerous aliens to help him enslave Earth's population. And it's all in preparation for the arrival of Number One, the most powerful alien in the universe and Daniel's arch-nemesis.

To Daniel's horror, thousands of humans defect to the alien's side, making the odds of success that much more impossible. But for the first time in his life, Daniel isn't alone in his fight. He's connected with several military and intelligence groups-including the daughter of a prominent FBI agent-and he's ready to lead the ultimate showdown against the evil that has plagued planet Earth for so long. Be prepared for a truly epic battle that evokes the ancient prophecies of Armageddon!

"I figured out how he needed to defeat Abbadon and was waiting the last about hundred pages for him to figure it out. I knew that that was going to happen with Dana in the end. The whole book was Patterson's predictable Daniel style. It was still pretty good, though."

" It'd be much easier if, instead of telling you why I subtracted three stars, I told you why I added two stars. For one, as insignificant as the cover may seem, it was the only reason I bought the book in the first place. The publishers did their job amazingly. The story, however, was pure silliness. I might have liked it very much if I had read it in fifth grade. Unfortunately, right now, the whole plot seems pretty cliche and unreasonable to me. The only thing I did enjoy in the plot was character sketch. Daniel was well-drawn and his character was the only thing that kept me going, along with Will's and Dana's of course. I mean, who could hate them? "

" Fun series. Not much depth to it. But I love James Patterson style of writing especially his short chapters that keep you hooked, and I enjoy his junior high fiction immensely. It's definitely a fun book, hope it's not the last one in the series. "
