The middle chapter of Teri Woods' acclaimed urban crime epic is as raw and gritty as the original. Crime lord Dutch is now out of the picture, and his top two lieutenants are vying for control of what's left of his vast criminal empire. Angel is a deadly assassin who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. But One-eyed Roc is matching her power plays move for move. " This book is the second of a trilogy. I believe this book was the best out of the three because it was filled with so much intensity. The plot was so unpredictable it added a high level of suspense to this story of gangsters, drugs, and violence. I really felt like I could relate a part of my life story to the vicious characters in these books. Teri Woods did an amazing job keeping my eyes focused on the literature. At times I felt like I was actually in the book witnessing every little detail that was presented in front of me. As I read this book, it opened up my mind to new thoughts and ideas. It also made me think about some of my friends and family who live similar lives to some of the main characters. After finishing this book I immediately went out and purchased the next book. I was so engaged into this book I often put myself in the shoes of the characters and thought to myself, "what would I do" It helped enhance my process of thinking. I recommend not only the second book of the trilogy but all three books. Start from the first book and see how the entire story of Dutch's life unfold before your eyes. "
