Anderson concludes his powerful trilogy about the ongoing battle between forces of evil and the good Christian citizens of a 1968 Mississippi community.
Mose Washington and his "grandson," Bill, are still on the lam after fleeing Cat Lake, where Bill's mom was brutally slain years earlier. Hiding out under assumed names, Bill is enrolled at North Texas State University and learning to ride bulls, while Mose continues to protect Bill from the evil he knows hunts them incessantly. When a dangerous and determined assassin hired by an enemy closes in, Bill’s faith is challenged to a point where even Mose's devoted guidance can't seem to save him. What was once just part of a bedtime prayer becomes an all too-real consideration for both men: And if I die…?

"Last of the Black and White Chronicles. I met John at a church library conference. He a charming southern gentleman. The setting of the Chronicles is in Mississippi. John grew up in the cotton country of Mississippi. The setting, characters, and the theme will keep you reading and wanting more"

“This third offering in the Black and White Chronicles is the best yet. While some novels involving battles of darkness glorify the terror and the terrorist and leave the good guys weeping in the dirt, here the balance between dark and light is subtle and well-wrought.”
— RT Book Reviews (4 stars)" This book had me crying like a little girl. It is amazing. "
— Mariola, 10/15/2013" Once again a great book. I hope this isn't the last because if it is though I'd have a big problem with the ending. But judging from the previous two books' endings I'd say there should be another installment. "
— Tanya, 10/1/2013" I am finally finished. It turned out to be a good book just never had time to read. "
— Donna, 5/23/2012" Must read series. Well done, Mr. Anderson. Well done. "
— Karen, 3/19/2012" again, satan comes in all forms; we must learn to recognize his ways and remain steadfast in our childship with god. we may defeat satan, but he only tries harder to take us away from god. "
