"Wow. I really enjoyed this book! It was funny, touching, amusing, entertaining, and extremely informative. I learned a lot about ventriloquism - or vent, as Dunham and people in the biz call it. I also learned a lot about Dunham's life. He's worked on his talent for a very long time, he's met/worked with a lot of wonderful people and bright stars, and his personal life took some dramatic twists and turns. His background was something I was not aware of either. I just about cried when he started writing to his daughters. I appreciated that he read this one himself, and he did the voices of his characters as well. Very good book!!"

" Very funny and inventive, with puppets and vent speaking both separately and as one. Amazing tale of a quest to live out a life-long dream, of never giving up or giving in. One of the funniest people I have ever had the pleasure of reading and seeing in person. Highly recommended read for any fan. "

" I loved that the characters made comments throughout his book, agreeing with or contradicting what Jeff writes, like the live shows. It was a good read - it tells about his background, his family, and his life now. And the backgrounds of all his dummies. :) "

" I just loved this book. It is one I will keep...I read so much that I rarely keep a book, but I know that I will be rereading this one...Jeff Dunham writes just as he does his vent shows...I laughed just as hard at his writing as I have all of his dvd's. I highly recommend it. "

" Jeff Dunham is the man. Josh and I are big fans, so I got him this book for Christmas, and as soon as he was done, I devoured it. It was really interesting reading about the story of how someone decides to become a professional ventriloquist...and actually make it work as a viable career. "

" I really enjoyed this story. Jeff tells the whole story of how he got to where he is today...ups and downs. I think that the addition of the characters talking added comedy to the book that I am sure meant a lot to Jeff because as we learn "laughter is not only an elixir, but a sustenance to life". "
