About the Authors

William Alexander “Bud” Abbott (1895–1974) was an American actor, producer, and comedian. He is best remembered as one half of the comedy team of Abbott and Costello, alongside Lou Costello.

Louis Francis Cristillo “Lou Costello” (1906–1959) was an American actor and comedian best remembered for the comedy double act of Abbott and Costello, with Bud Abbott. The duo made thirty-six films between 1940 and 1956 and was among the most popular and highest-paid set of entertainers in the world during World War II. In 1992 the city of Paterson, New Jersey, erected a statue of Costello in the newly named Lou Costello Memorial Park in the city’s historic district.

About Full Cast

Frank Lovejoy (1912–1962) was an American film, radio, and television actor who played a number of detectives, reporters, and soldiers over the course of his career. His gritty voice was ideal for radio, and he went on to star on such shows as Night Beat and Gangbusters.
