"This book contains everything a paranormal romance should - an interesting and fast-paced storyline, strong likable main characters and convincing romance as well. More importantly, it was written in an extremely intelligent and beautiful manner - smooth and steady, like the river flow."

" Another REALLY GRIM book by Liu. Way too star-crossed for my taste. The world building also really depressing. Vampires and werewolves hate each other, and both are being persecuted by humans. I like my romances more feelgood. "

" Interesting setup, nice touches with the plot, storytelling was perhaps a bit confusing, too impressionistic for me. More crucially, I could not quite get into the main characters and their romance. A nice effort, but not my cup of tea after all. "

" This lacks the inspired ridiculousness of Liu's Dirk & Steele series, but is better than her Hunter's Kiss books by a mile. I would have liked it more if the unraveling of the mystery had been less painfully obvious. "
