" Another REALLY GRIM book by Liu. Way too star-crossed for my taste. The world building also really depressing. Vampires and werewolves hate each other, and both are being persecuted by humans. I like my romances more feelgood. "

" This book contains everything a paranormal romance should - an interesting and fast-paced storyline, strong likable main characters and convincing romance as well. More importantly, it was written in an extremely intelligent and beautiful manner - smooth and steady, like the river flow. "

" I found this book very interesting. A vampire and werewolf working together to investigate unsolved murders of of their own kind ( well I don't need to say more since it is paranormal romance ) I enjoyed this book and do recommend it to others. "

" Dramatic Romance. Actiony, suspenseful. A female werewolf and male vampire? That's what hooked me. I really loved the character personalities. "

" I don't really understand what is happening in a series written by different authors. A series I thought had to include something about the other stories. I really wanted to know what happened with flora and dane. also that thing with Jill and Marcus??? "

" Interesting setup, nice touches with the plot, storytelling was perhaps a bit confusing, too impressionistic for me. More crucially, I could not quite get into the main characters and their romance. A nice effort, but not my cup of tea after all. "

" I wasn't sure if I was going to continue the series, but this book renewed my interest. I really liked the combination of werewolf and vampire. The dialogue was funny and the chemistry with the two main characters was great. I can't wait to read the next book. "

" This lacks the inspired ridiculousness of Liu's Dirk & Steele series, but is better than her Hunter's Kiss books by a mile. I would have liked it more if the unraveling of the mystery had been less painfully obvious. "

About the Narrator

Terri Blackstock made a decision more than a decade ago that permanently changed the direction of her writing career. She had grown to become an award-winning secular novelist of over thirty published titles. And yet she was miserable, and her career left her unfulfilled. One night she decided she would never again write something that was displeasing to God. Since then she has written more than thirty novels, many of which were New York Times bestsellers, and was given the Retailers Choice Award in 2007 for best Christian novel in the general fiction category for Night Light. She lives in Mississippi with her husband, Ken.
