Audrey Kathleen Hepburn (May 4, 1929 - January 20, 1993) was a British actress born into an aristocratic family in Brussels, Belgium. Recognized as a film and fashion icon, Hepburn won an Academy Award for 1953's Roman Holiday (with nominations for Sabrina, The Nun's Story, Breakfast at Tiffany's and Wait Until Dark), an Emmy Award, two Golden Globe awards, a Grammy Award, and 3 British Academy Film Awards.
