"I read this book in one day while traveling from TN to NJ by car. Once I started, it was hard to put down. I enjoy good Christian fiction and though I have only read one other book by this author, just before I read this one, I will definitely read more of Kim Vogel Sawyer's books."

— Library Journal“If you are a fan of historical Christian fiction, you will enjoy A Promise for Spring…I appreciated the message of the story: we can place our troubles in God’s capable hands.”
— 5MinutesforBooks.com" I loved Tildy's character. Throughout the entire book I kept liking each of the characters more at different parts of the story. I thought the ending could be better but really enjoyed the rest of the book. "

— Jackie, 1/19/2014" The whole story moved way too slow and the bantering between the characters was predictable and a little boring. "
— Rachel, 1/18/2014" A Promise for Spring is a good Christian book although the male main character was annoying at times. "
— Pam, 1/10/2014" I really enjoyed the story line. "
— Michelle, 1/9/2014" Pretty good. The book as a whole was great until the end. It got a little too preachy and towards "Christian Lit" at the end for my taste. "
— Debdunk, 1/3/2014" The story was okay but predictable and a little bit preachy at the end. Typical formula Christian novel. The accents on the CD drove me nuts...didn't sound at all English. "
— Maam, 11/26/2013" B; An easy listen Christian story based in the frontier days. "
— Cathy, 11/4/2013" I thought it was okay. I didn't necessarily like the initial plot of the book, but the secondary characters sort of grew on me. I loved the support of good friends that the heroine had; she needed them. I always like to read stories where a person's faith is rekindled. All in all, it was okay. "
— Emily, 6/24/2013" Good enough that I wanted to finish it. "
— Joanne, 6/3/2013" Geoffrey was a JERK! Had a hard time reading this. Emmaline was the only reason I kept reading this. "
— Brittany, 6/2/2013" Yeah...this one made me cry. I can't resist a book that makes me cry. "
— Bridget, 1/10/2013" I was ready to slap her. Too whiny, too close to home. "
— Magda, 12/30/2012" This is as close to a perfect book as I've read. I highly recommend it. "
— Amanda, 10/16/2011" I enjoyed listening to this. "
— Katherine, 10/12/2011" Finished by listening to audio. Don't think I would have gotten through it otherwise. Tells a good story and tries to throw in hardships and trials to offset the ridiculous good fortune that is seen by the end, but still very unrealistic. "
— Jessica, 10/20/2010" I loved it. It was really clean of course since is a Christian author and I liked that. I couldn't stop reading it until I finished. Great story, and great message. "
— Esbaide, 7/15/2010" This is dreadful but I keep plugging through the CDs out of fascination with what more about pioneer life it can possibly get wrong. "
