Publisher Description

One of the '60s most popular teen idols, Annette Funicello was more than America's favorite Mouseketeer. She knew Walt Disney, he chose her for his Mickey Mouse Club. She dated Paul Anka, Fabian, and Frankie Avalon. She made movies with such stars as Mickey Rooney and Fred MacMurray. Then she left it all behind to raise a family. In 1992, she reentered public life to share her battle with multiple sclerosis. In this touching memoir, Annette Funicello tells us that, despite it all, life is more perfect than she'd ever dreamed it might be - and once again proves to be America's Sweetheart.

"Very good bio by Disney's sweetheart. She talks in depth about her difficulties leading up to her MS diagnosis. I always loved the old Mickey Mouse Club reruns with the "Adventures of Annette" and the Beach Party movies so was drawn to this book. "

" Lovely autobiography of beloved Annette. Read by the author on audio. This is a favorite actress of mine. She is a gentle and loving woman and it shows in this book. Her memories of Walt Disney are especially wonderful. . "

" I read this while we were on a summer vacation in 1995. An easy read for a 14-year-old but I wouldn't mind revisiting it even now. It's a cute little story about Annette the Mouseketeer, Annette the Beach Party Babe, and Annette the woman struggling to overcome MS. "
