“Betty White narrates A Child’s Day Out as a grandmother would read to her grandchildren. Young listeners’ imaginations will soar as they join Lizzie and her best friend, Eric, and her little Yorkshire terrier, Petunia, on seven field trips to various places. Each story begins with the blast of a trumpet and ends with tips from Lizzie. Children will have as much fun listening to each story as Betty White did reading them. Sound effects aid the listener as Lizzie travels to the farm, the aquarium, the carnival, and more. These stories are excellent for short car trips or rainy days in the house.”
