About Aron Ralston
Aron Ralston, a native of the Midwest, moved with his family to Colorado at age twelve, quickly becoming an avid outdoorsman. He retired from a career as a mechanical engineer at age twenty-six, when he moved to Aspen and attempted—among other things—to climb all fifty-nine Colorado peaks alone in winter. Since his accident, recorded in his book Between a Rock and a Hard Place and the Oscar nominated film 127 Hour, he has completed his unprecedented project of conquering Colorado’s peaks.
