About Stefan Rudnicki

Stefan Rudnicki first became involved with audiobooks in 1994. Now a Grammy-winning audiobook producer, he has worked on more than five thousand audiobooks as a narrator, writer, producer, or director. He has narrated more than nine hundred audiobooks. A recipient of multiple AudioFile Earphones Awards, he was presented the coveted Audie Award for solo narration in 2005, 2007, and 2014, and was named one of AudioFile’s Golden Voices in 2012.

About the Narrators

Laurie Keller is the acclaimed author-illustrator of Do Unto Otters; Arnie, the Doughnut; and The Scrambled States of America, among numerous others. She grew up in Muskegon, Michigan, and always loved to draw, paint, and write stories. She earned a BFA at Kendall College of Art and Design, then worked at Hallmark as a greeting card illustrator for over seven years, until one night she got an idea for a children’s book. She quit her job, moved to New York City, and had soon published her first book. She loved living in New York, but she has now returned to her home state, where she lives in a little cottage in the woods on the shore of Lake Michigan.

Stephanie Beacham has performed on the London stage in the plays The Basement and On Approval. She also has starred on television in The Colbys, Dynasty, and in numerous made-for-TV movies, including Napoleon and Josephine: A Love Story.

Gabrielle de Cuir, award-winning narrator, has narrated over three hundred titles and specializes in fantasy, humor, and titles requiring extensive foreign language and accent skills. She was a cowinner of the Audie Award for best narration in 2011 and a three-time finalist for the Audie and has garnered six AudioFile Earphones Awards. Her “velvet touch” as an actor’s director has earned her a special place in the audiobook world as the foremost producer for bestselling authors and celebrities.

Gabriel Byrne was born in Dublin. Before acting, he explored several careers and considered becoming a priest. He embarked on stage work at age twenty-nine, his Hollywood career taking off when he starred in Miller’s Crossing. Byrne later appeared in The Usual Suspects and Stigmata, and produced the film In the Name of Father, which was nominated for seven Oscars.

Christopher Cazenove (1943–2010), one of England’s finest actors, starred on stage and television in the United States and Great Britain. His motion-picture credits include A Knight’s Tale, Eye of the Needle, Children of the Full Moon, and Jennie: Lady Randolph Churchill. He played Ben Carrington on television’s Dynasty.

LeVar Burton is an Emmy Award–winning actor, presenter, director, author, and Earphones Award–winning narrator. He is best known for his roles as the host of the long-running PBS children’s series Reading Rainbow, as Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge in Star Trek: The Next Generation, and as the young Kunta Kinte in the 1977 award-winning ABC television miniseries Roots. He has also directed a number of television episodes for various iterations of Star Trek, among other programs. He was named 2017’s Best Male Literary Citizen by Literary Hub and is a 2020 recipient of the Ember Award for unsung contributions to literature.

John Vickery is a classical stage actor who has appeared in many stage performances, including The Lion King on Broadway, in which he played Scar. He has also appeared on a variety of television shows, most notably Babylon 5 and Star Trek.

Amy Irving is known for her numerous film roles as well as acclaimed roles on Broadway and off-Broadway. She received an Academy Award nomination as Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the film Yentl, Golden Globe nominations for her performances in the films Anastasia: The Mystery of Anna and Crossing Delancey, and an Obie Award for her stage performance in The Road to Mecca. More recently she appeared in the films Traffic, Tuck Everlasting, and Thirteen Conversations about One Thing.

Glenda Jackson (1936-2023) won two Academy Awards for her roles in Women in Love and A Touch of Class. She also received an Emmy for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth I in the acclaimed BBC production Elizabeth R. She won a seat in the British Parliament in 1992 and devoted her time to politics.

Roger Rees, Welsh stage, film, and television actor and, more recently, narrator of audiobooks, is known on both sides of the Atlantic. As for audiobooks, Roger has performed in a wide variety of programs, from the LA Theatre Works’ production of Lady Windmere’s Fan, to mystery anthologies such as Malice Domestic and thrillers like Pop Goes the Weasel. His audiobook narration has won four AudioFile Earphones Awards.

Burt Reynolds began his acting career on Broadway and in television Westerns before his breakout film performance in Deliverance. His other leading roles include films such as The Longest Yard, Hustle, Gator, Smokey and the Bandit, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Striptease, and Boogie Nights, for which he earned a Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination. He also received an Emmy and a Golden Globe Award for his starring role on the popular sitcom Evening Shade.

Terry Paxton Bradshaw is a former American football quarterback with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is currently an analyst and cohost of Foxs NFL Sunday. He played fourteen seasons with Pittsburgh, won four Super Bowl titles in a six-year period—becoming the first quarterback to win three and then four Super Bowls—and led the Steelers to eight AFC Central championships. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1989, his first year of eligibility.

Sharon Stone is a multiple award–winning actress, human rights activist, artist, mother, daughter, sister, and writer. She has been honored with a Nobel Peace Summit Award, a Harvard Humanitarian Award, a Human Rights Campaign Humanitarian Award, and an Einstein Spirit Award, as well as many other accolades.
