There are excellent reasons why New York Times bestselling author Laura Lippman has won the Edgar®, Agatha, Anthony, Nero Wolfe, and every other major award the mystery genre has to offer. To the Power of Three is just one of those reasons. Lippman’s brilliant and disturbing tale of three inseparable high school girlfriends in an affluent Baltimore suburb who share dark secrets literally until death, To the Power of Three is this “writing powerhouse” (USA Today), who has “exploded the boundaries of the mystery genre to become one of the most significant social realists of our time” (Madison Smartt Bell) operating at the very top of her game. Not merely crime fiction, but fiction that gets to the deep psychological, emotional, and human roots of a terrible crime, Lippman’s novel is one that will not be easily forgotten—a must read for fans of Kate Atkinson, Tana French, Jodi Picoult, and Harlan Coben.

About the Narrators

Alexandra O’Karma has appeared on regional stages, television, film, Broadway, and off-Broadway. You may have seen her with Tommy Lee Jones in the film Yuri Nosenko, KGB, or on episodes of One Life to Live. She was the Reader in the four-time Emmy winner, Festival of Lessons & Carols and appeared on Broadway in Getting Married. In the national tour of Death Trap, she performed with Elliot Gould, and she played opposite George Segal in Toronto in the contemporary play, Double Act.

Award-winning novelist Stephanie Grace Whitson began playing with imaginary friends (i.e., writing fiction) in the 1990s when an abandoned pioneer cemetery near the Whitson's country home provided not only a hands-on history lesson for her four home schooled children, but also a topic of personal study. She has continued to write full time since the release of her first novel in 1995. When not writing or researching, she enjoys reading, quilting, spoiling her grandchildren and/or Kona Kai (the golden retriever), and riding her motorcycle named Kitty.
