“Ms. Steffans is the first to pull back the covers on the hip-hop industry.”
— New York Times“Steffans returns with more juicy tales…She responds to titillating rumors, including the truth about that Bobby Brown gossip.”
— Essence“Gives a voice to the oft-muted, so-called ‘eye candy’…Steffans ultimately blows a loud whistle on the misogyny and drug abuse that exist behind the velvet rope.”
— Vibe" i found out who papa is! haha!! "
— Mollie, 2/17/2014" Yup. I read it. Unlike her book before this I was very board. I thought that maybe Karrine would have given us something to make me feel like she has grown from her sad and tired past, but yet instead she told more whore stories. Not exactly the perfect role modles for the kiddies... "
— Eboni, 2/17/2014" Both me and the author share the same perspectives in life, we have excuses why we don't let people in our lives that easily. Karrine, the author is more like me than I thought, well not when it came to her actions and what she did in her past but in her personality and how she thinks. Both of us as she explained in her book live in our own social cocoon where everything and everyone stay the same. I really enjoyed this book and it showed me that I should be more open to change. In the near future I intend to read her previous book, confessions of a video vixen. Confessions contains all the intimate details of the private lives of the biggest artists in both the Rap industry alongside the Hip Hop industry as well. As brave as we both are, we share the same feeling that we're missing out on life because we're scared of being disappointed. With the armor I have around myself and as the author explained, it's making us miss on the adventures we could be having. This book showed me that independence can easily turn into loneliness and regret. So I'm positively changing and it's because of this book. "
— Jewahir, 2/15/2014" its like if ron burgundy wrote a book but in a bad way. i sort of hate myself for finishing this book. "
— Jennifer, 2/10/2014" I'm sorry, I did not like this one. "
— Phyllis, 2/2/2014" Seriously the worst book in creation. It reads like a horribly self-indulgent blog written by someone who pretends they are actually likeable. Ugh. "
— Kristin, 2/1/2014" I REALLY DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAY ABOUT THIS BOOK. "
— Kas, 1/21/2014" In a moment of boredom I picked through this book intrigued by the supposed dirty little secrets of the rich and famous. While they are dirty, they were also redundant and boring. Hollywood is full of scum, the men are pigs, blah blah blah. Wow...one would never have guessed. "
— Megan, 1/18/2014" As good as the first. And you find out who Papa is. "
— Krystal, 1/16/2014" Pretty good if you are into gossiping about famous people. "
— Lindsay, 12/23/2013" She didn't name as much people as I hope she would but hey, you can't knock her hustle. She found a way to may some money doing what has been going on for years. Yo go girl! "
— Brad, 12/18/2013" Mess. Her previous book kept my attention. This book did not. "
— Tawanna, 12/18/2013" I think "Confessions" is much better than this one. The sequel lost its luster and drama. It's just flat. "
— Yuska, 12/14/2013" I did not like this book. She shared more deeper secrets in the first book and acted more innocent in this book. "
— Adrienna, 12/10/2013" Girl. NO. "
— I, 11/27/2013" enough is enough "
— Shontelle, 11/5/2013" Just ok, took me a looooooooooooong time to read it and think I still have a few chapters left to finish. Wow it's been awhile since I've even picked the book up. Nothing compared to Confessions. "
— Tasha, 8/3/2013" I loved to read her story and see how far she has come. I would also try to comprehend the things she learned from life and use them in my own. "
— Julia, 5/16/2013" i learned that being a video girl doesn't mean that you have to expose yourself respect your body in various ways stand up for yourself don't let a man use you "
— Juanita, 4/10/2013" After reading the first book by Karrine Steffans, I feel this book just dragged on. I think it was just too much like the first book that it felt like it was just repeating. "
— Brittany, 1/17/2013" Entertaining to read about the author's personal growth and the lessons she has learned. "
— Angie, 8/9/2012" It's okay. Impressive writer. Basic Hollywood gossip... "
— Brenda, 5/6/2012" how many times can u call yourself a "best selling author" and not sound so pretentious. This book was given to me and I quickly gave it to someone else. "
— Latoria, 4/20/2012" The first 20 pages were very entertaining...but Karrine Steffans was redundant with her stories, experiences and "lessons" thereafter. If you're looking for a new, trashy, juicy gossip-y read...this is not it. Nothing new about this anecdote. "
— Laura, 4/8/2012" This book was ok. You find out who Papa is at the end though so that was crazy to find out who THAT is! Other than that, I was kinda bored but I felt like I needed to read the 2nd one since I read the first one. "
— Vasilka, 10/15/2011" Total waste of time, would like those moments back "
— Tamara, 10/2/2011" A poor exuse of a memoir with no satisfactory ending, seeminly no lessons learned and filled with delusions of a woman who can't see herself for what she trully is "
— Linda, 5/22/2011" Nothing spectacular but interesting "
— Jessica, 5/19/2011" The writing and story were alright, but I couldn't get past how easily she described herself as a whore skewed things to make them seem acceptable. "
— Adam, 4/30/2011" This book was pretty interesting as well as informing. It felt as if I were given permission to read someone's personal diary. I think my peers would love reading this because the author tells all about her personal and secret sexual encounters with numerous male celeberities. "
— Doneisha, 4/16/2011" If you like to read about celebrity gossip you will most likely enjoy this book. Although I am not a huge celeb gossip queen, I did enjoy parts of this book. It does have an okay story to it. "
— Brittany, 3/2/2011" This book is good.
I couldn't put it down.
The only reason why i bought her second book
Was because her first book was good "
— Isiah, 1/22/2011" This was a mindless read. I enjoyed it! It read like a black TMZ episode. "
— Travis, 11/18/2010" This book was really bad. "Self-pitying ho" is how I would describe the author.

Here is a partial list of dudes she slept with:

Shaquille O'Neal
DMX
Ja Rule
Puff Daddy
Irv Gotti
Usher
ah who cares "
— Amar, 10/19/2010" shocking. Great story.but i think the title should've changed to "Confessions of a hip hop ho" coz she gave only a few details about her being a video vixen. "
