"Gotta love these classic horror stories! Jekyl and Hyde is a short book, and even though we all know the story of how Dr. Jekyl drinks a potion and turns into his evil alter-ego Mr. Hyde, the telling of the story is creepy and the vocabulary is brilliant. "

" A short Novella that digs into the Psychology of the angelic man, made before the fall; and the dirty creatures, that lies in all humans. The psychology developed and explained here is great. If you are looking for a long read, this will not suffice. "
— Gregory, 2/16/2014" As a fan of the musical version I was let down with the original version. It is a dry read with second hand accounts and letters throught the whole piece. Much less internal musings of Dr. Jekyll and hardly any words from Mr. Hyde we are left to discover the events through the eyes of a skeptical Lawyer looking out for an old friend. Still a wonderful story, just perhapse not the best medium to view the story. "
— Casandra, 2/12/2014" This book is a fabulous illustration of the duality of human nature and the evil that "hides" within us all! "
— Angel, 2/7/2014" A fun and short read. Not quite to my taste as such, as although explanation is given to the change in Jekyll/Hyde, it does border on the supernatural and that isn't something I'm particularly interested in. The writing itself is impeccable, and I enjoyed it for what it was. "
— Lise, 1/24/2014" Not so fun when you know the story, but cool in a different way. Its, like, the first scary story I've ever really read(so its going in my favorites b/c i actually enjoyed it). "
— Kurara, 1/8/2014" Didn't get into it so much. But then I was pretty young. "
— Erin, 12/31/2013" Interesting read; I may have liked it better if I didn't already know the ending. Only the first half is the mystery. The last half is the explanation which is done in the most unimaginative of ways. "
— Jessica, 12/7/2013" I absolutely love this book! I had heard of it before, and, as everyone else I knew what the twist in the plot was. I thought it was beautifully written and I could barely put it down. "
— Rachel, 11/26/2013" What a good read! Loved the language.... should have read this years ago! "
— Bachinthedark, 10/21/2013" One of the most astonishing stories I've ever read. You will sometimes feel that you're reading two stories- the other one hidden, darker and more profound. Must read. "
— Suvam, 8/24/2013" I didn't like this book until the last chapter, when it explained everything, and how mr. Hyde was sin. It was eye opening, and I really found in interesting. Everything leading up to that though, I was a little bored. Definitely worth a one time read though. "
— Sarah, 11/8/2012" I can't say that I understand why this is a classic, as I barely got through it. I guess it just isn't for me. "
— readinrobin, 11/3/2011" and interesting short novel however it felt as if it had been plucked out of a longer, non existent version of the book, the start and end didn't properly justify the novel, due its shortness it felt rushed, however it was extraneously detailed and overall was a mildly exciting prose fiction. "
— Cameron, 9/21/2011" Perhaps would have been better had I not already known the story. "
— Jessica, 9/19/2011" The twist in the end was the best part. It really did amaze me. "
— Urvashi, 9/17/2011" A short easy entertaining read with a wealth of insight. "
— Rikki, 6/22/2011" Such a sad tale ,a fascinating read and insight to twin personalities.I think everyone should read this sometime in their life. "
— Sylvia, 6/13/2011" "Dr.Jekyll" is cool but really guys, "The Merry Men" is the real shit. "
— Danielroffle, 5/22/2011" Lovely writing. Intricate, elegant phrasing that is so far removed from the blunt way we communicate in the modern world. Also an intriguing investigation of the desire to indulge in vice without consequence. "
— Maria, 5/16/2011" Even without the suspense as to the outcome, the book was an entertaining read. And, it's a classic! I have seen the play before and next time I'll have the full story in mind to make it richer. "
— Anne, 5/16/2011" Loved it. It drew me in from the first page and I couldn't put it down. "
— Daisyjess, 5/15/2011" I loved this book!! It was brilliantly thought through and had a good meaning in the end . It made me cry!! :') "
— Sarah, 5/10/2011" Audio Book. Like all books that have become horror classics, the original is not scary or horrible. It is a much different story than Hollywood has made it. "
— Jake, 5/6/2011" The sotry is nothing like pop culture portrays. The monster is a small man, not a huge giant. I read it for the cultural experience. I wouldn't read it again. "
— Alan, 5/6/2011" LOOOOOVEEDD it ;) like nothing I've ever read before! It was spectacular! lol "
