Thomas Bolden grew up on the streets, his childhood a blur of fragmented memories. But now he’s managed to put his past behind him, find the woman he wants to share his life with, and carve out a successful career on Wall Street. Until, in the blink of an eye, his world is turned upside down. A bizarre kidnapping sends him fleeing for his life, his face everywhere on the TV news, and a violent, shadowy organization is framing him for crimes he did not commit. Desperately trying to get back to where he was just a day before, Bolden must re-learn the survival skills of his hardscrabble boyhood. But as Bolden–with just eleven dollars in his pocket and hunters all around him–survives one violent, harrowing hour after another, he makes a series of startling discoveries: about a mysterious woman wanted for murder…about an astounding secret rooted in history, among the country’s Founding Fathers and families…about a conspiracy lurking in the darkest corners of corporate America–and a deadly plan that only he can stop. And in the process, maybe Bolden will also find out who he really is.... Furiously paced, filled with brilliantly drawn characters from politicians to patriots, from Wall Street players to battle-hardened cops, The Patriots Club is vintage Reich: brilliant, breathtaking, and impossible to put down until the final unforgettable page is turned.

"Winner - 2006 International Thriller Writer's Best Novel Award. Over novels by Vince Flynn and Dean Koontz. This is the second of his books for me. With writers like Robert Ludlum gone, it's nice to know that there are authors like Chris Reich writing good, original thrillers. Next up for me, his first, Numbered Account."
— Darren (4 out of 5 stars)
" Enjoyable as always "
— Trisha, 2/9/2014" I think that this book really deserves more than 3 stars, but for now that is what I have given it. It is extremely well written, very detailed with a fascinating, complex plot involving high financial institutions and government agencies, both a part of The Patriots Club". The action is very high paced, but perhaps a little too much for me. You really never had a chance to relax and get your breath in this book, but I suspect that that would be what a lot of people really like. A very good book. "
— Donna, 2/5/2014" I liked the story. It was very good listening. I figured out the end early, but was still enjoyable. "
— Tony, 1/26/2014" I found this entirely diverting, all the way to the end. Other reviews indicated the end was crap, but other than being a bit rushed, I thought it wasn't bad. "
— Sherry, 1/23/2014" Great twist in the plots as well as the overall story line. "
— Tim, 1/22/2014" A great, fast paced book. I love this genre of writing and Reich does it incredibly well! "
— Tsfranklin, 1/20/2014" A man on the run exposes a government conspiracy. Simple premise, good read. "
— Steve, 1/1/2014" A quick beach read... "
— Shawn, 12/24/2013" A slow start in the first third of the book, and not the most layered story, but a quick and entertaining read. "
— AllInStride, 12/21/2013" I enjoyed this book until the last 100 pages or so. The ending wrapped up so neatly it was almost painful to read. I couldn't recommend it. "
— Julia, 12/20/2013" Found the book at an thrift and thought I give it a chance. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Found it nicely paced, with enough of suspense and mystery to keep me turning the page. "
— Travis, 11/28/2013" Too close to today's world to be comforting, fast paced, sitting on the edge of your chair and you can't leave it alone until you've finished the very last page. "
— Mac, 11/25/2013" A good thriller. Not as good as his other book. Good conspiracy theorist read. "
— Rob, 11/9/2013" The book was a conspirators dream. There are groups that pull the strings of government. It was a quick easy read, not one that demanded a lot of attention to get through. "
— Jim, 1/9/2013" I'll be honest, I almost put this book down. There's a lot of financial terminology in it and that all goes right over my head. I am glad, however, that I stuck with it. And the ending... only left me with more questions! "
— Sally, 12/30/2012" Not one of Reich's best but still entertaining "
— James, 11/18/2012" A pretty good book. I really like the character of Bolden. But somehow I wasn't so impressed with the story. "
— Karissa, 10/16/2012" Dull novel about a mega-government-conspiracy. Poor dialog, predictable. "
— Dan, 9/10/2012" kinda dragging near the end. "
— Brenda, 7/21/2012" Least favorite of his books so far (5th) "
— Susan, 5/5/2012" The author continues to demonstrate why forensic accounting wins the day, when you need to solve the crime, follow the money. "
— Millicent, 2/14/2012" Other fantastic thriller by Reich. It begins rather slowly, but then it turns to be a really good one. The historical facts just make everything more realstic. The conspiration is not the main subject, but definately helps the reader to imagine the whole picture. "
— Plamen, 1/30/2012" This book started out well but finished weakly. I love history and when you can wrap an interesting fictional story around it, it can make for some good reading. Unfortunately, this book did not meet expectations, especially with such an interestign premise. "
— Gian, 1/25/2012" Fast moving, non-stop book from Christopher Reich. I'll agree with others that the end was wrapped up rather rapidly and neatly. The book was definitely a page turner though. "
— Fred, 11/10/2011" The best thing I can say about this book is that it's diverting. The worst thing I can say is not printable. "
— Scott, 11/7/2011" What a good book! "
— Nattaporn, 8/19/2011" The author continues to demonstrate why forensic accounting wins the day, when you need to solve the crime, follow the money. "
— Millicent, 3/2/2011" Not one of Reich's best but still entertaining "
— James, 9/27/2010" I really liked this book. It was a about an organization that ran parallel to the US Gov't, and they ran the agenda that had any association with money and power. Great plot....and it probably is going on today in our country as we speak.

I recommend this as a read. "
— Brad, 3/1/2010" Fast moving, non-stop book from Christopher Reich. I'll agree with others that the end was wrapped up rather rapidly and neatly. The book was definitely a page turner though. "
— Fred, 9/27/2009" Least favorite of his books so far (5th) "
— Susan, 6/11/2009" I liked the story. It was very good listening. I figured out the end early, but was still enjoyable.

"
— Tony, 3/3/2009" I enjoyed this book until the last 100 pages or so. The ending wrapped up so neatly it was almost painful to read. I couldn't recommend it. "
— Julia, 2/11/2009" A good thriller. Not as good as his other book. Good conspiracy theorist read. "
