"this is one that sat on my shelf for a few years .. partway into it I realized it's the 2nd in a series, but it's written so that you don't necessarily have to have read the first one. I do plan to read it now for the background stuff, but this book was great by itself. It's about a group of Immortals who have been around for thousands of years and their blood that can cure pretty much anything that ails you. It's part supernatural and part mystery/thriller as a group of people try to get ahold of the blood ..... I've already started book #3 and I should be receiving 1 and 4 any day now ..."

" The second book was much better than the first, with a lot more twists, characters and a more complex plot. As with the first book, the second's ending leads you right into the third, letting you know that the story is not quite finished yet. Looks like I will be starting book 3 soon! "
— Lisa, 2/13/2014" I was very disappointed in this sequel after the original. The ability for the main character to forgive her husband for the terrible crime committed in the first installment of this series was utterly unbelievable unless there is an element of battered woman's syndrome happening. I found the relationships to be unbelievable and some of the characters that we were supposed to care about to be unlikable. I enjoy Due's writing style and imagination, so I'm hoping future books are better. "
— Kioko, 1/30/2014" I have read this book a couple of times and each time I find something new. Due is a gifted author. "
— Lexie, 1/30/2014" This was book two and it kept the suspense going. This one was as good if not better than the first. Again I love Ms. Due's style and flare. She has a great way with words and I recommend any and all of her books if you'd like something good to read. "
— Michelle, 1/16/2014" It took a little while to get into this book, but once I got a feel for the characters they seemed very real. I found myself very involved with them as they journeyed through the story. "
— Lori, 1/14/2014" This book has some gaps in logic. If you drank Christ's blood and became imortal why would you be any other religion? Subtract half a star if your stimed too. "
— Ingrid, 1/13/2014" This was a great book as it tied in the other two books and characters as well as added additional characters. I think there will be another book because there are more stories that could be told about Fana "
— Joanie, 1/13/2014" A bit heavy and violent, and obviously setting up for the third book. "
— Wyn, 1/7/2014" Great follow up to "My Soul To Keep" I could not put this book down! Amazing storytelling and I am looking forward to reading "The Blood Colony" which is the sequel. "
— TruEssence, 12/28/2013" Nice read, pretty predictable. "
— L, 11/8/2013" I guess I want to scare myself again, so here i go.... it was indeed scary, but not as heart stopping as my soul to keep, but a very good read "
— Kate, 10/29/2013" Man, I just crawled into this book and camped out a few days. Can't wait to read the third book. I was so captivated by this that I am convinced there should be a movie trilogy to go along with the books. "
— Kristy, 10/29/2013" Excellent and fascinating mystery and fiction. I started reading this book and could not put it down. I highly reccomend. "

— Charles, 12/30/2012" This is the conclusion to My Soul To Keep published in 1997. "
— Ricardo, 12/3/2012" A wonderful sequel to My Soul To Keep, this story moves beautifully to Africa where immortal blood is used in a clinic to treat incurable diseases. The story gets and keeps your attention. "
— Tracey, 3/18/2012" The continuation of the African Immortals series does not disappoint. The story took an interesting turn and includes more view points than the first book in the series. I was thoroughly pleased with the expanded storyline and the conclusion of this book. I can't wait to read books 3 and 4. "
— Tameka, 3/5/2012" this book was amazing and is somewhat of a part two to My Soul to Keep. "
— Camelia, 2/21/2012" I loved this book. I never read the first one in series, but was able to easily get into the story and understand the world. Ms. Due has a beautiful voice. I just bought the third and can't wait to read more about Fana!! "
— Cynthia, 9/27/2011" a great follow-up to My Soul to Keep. "
— Tanya, 9/3/2011" Didn't enjoy nearly as much as My Soul to Keep. This is really a 3 1/2 star book with a great book cover. "
— Meer, 8/17/2011" Riveting... unbelievable... but you should read "My Soul to Keep" first, to set the background. You'll beI sad to finish this book. It took me into another world where I dwelt even when I was not reading the book. "
— Michelle, 8/3/2011" This is a sequel, which I didn't know about when I read it but it turned out it wasn't a problem. I really enjoyed the story! I especially enjoyed finding out the source of the Brothers immortality. Though, now, I'm afraid reading the first book might prove to be redundant? "
— Caitlin, 6/6/2011" [spoilers removed]
It all goes on and on, Due does love descriptions and back story but the story is sound and intriguing. [spoilers removed]
"
— Ann, 3/13/2011" It took a little while to get into this book, but once I got a feel for the characters they seemed very real. I found myself very involved with them as they journeyed through the story. "
— Lori, 1/13/2011" this is as good as the first in the series MY SOUL TO KEEP in most respects, slightly less as tightly written; again, new and familiar characters of depth and interest, a good combination of multiple plotlines that connect well; the dialogue is refreshing and rich......highly reccomended. "
— Mykal, 11/8/2010" a great follow-up to My Soul to Keep. "
— Tanya, 8/3/2010" The blood of Jesus sustains a colony of immortals. Problems ensue on several fronts. A good summer read but not one I will visit again. "
— Lynetta, 7/23/2010" One of my favorite books ever!! The 2nd of a trilogy. HIGHLY recommended. The first installment is "My Soul To Keep". "

— Tammy, 12/24/2009" this was my first book that I read my Ms Due and then I have been hooked every since.. "
— Cassandra, 10/4/2009" This was book two and it kept the suspense going. This one was as good if not better than the first. Again I love Ms. Due's style and flare. She has a great way with words and I recommend any and all of her books if you'd like something good to read. "
— Michelle, 9/26/2009" Excellent and fascinating mystery and fiction. I started reading this book and could not put it down. I highly reccomend. "
