" Deborah Harkness has written a trilogy - The Book of Night, Shadow of night and A Discovery of Witches. That trilogy was fantastic. So much so in that I was hungry for more and decided to try the Jewel House. Bad decision. This book was dry, boring and difficult to get through. I recommend that you stick with the trilogy and don't bother with this one. "
