En el Madrid de 1615, Miguel de Cervantes publica sus Entremeses, siguiendo el estilo de Lope de Rueda quien los llamaba Pasos. El fin del dichos Entremeses es llenar los huecos en las representaciones del teatro "serio", como la duracion de las obras eran muy larga, los Entremeses aligeraban la estancia del publico en los teatros, poco a poco dicho genero encontro gran aceptacion por el publico asistente. Los Entremeses reflejan situaciones de la vida cotidiana, basandose en el doble juego de fantasia y realidad; manejados en comedia y hechos para hacer reir, refuerza la aceptacion del publico. Los Entremeses representan una lectura obligada para los jovenes de esta epoca, por su importancia literaria, asi como por lo imaginativo de las situaciones y por que no ha dejado de estar vigente. A sus 400 anos de su publicacion la sociedad contemporanea se refleja en los Entremeses llegando a la conclusion de que el ser humano sigue siendo el mismo.

Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (1547–1616), novelist, playwright, and poet, was born in Spain of an ancient but impoverished family. After studying in Madrid, he became a soldier and was wounded in battle. He was taken by pirates in 1575, put in prison at Algiers, and was ransomed five years later. He spent the remainder of his life struggling to earn a livelihood from literature and humble government employment. His first attempt at fiction was a pastoral novel, La Galatea (1585), which was followed by his masterpiece, The Adventures of Don Quixote de la Mancha (1605).
