On Caprona, the Land that Time Forgot, all of the world's savage past still lived. Here were dinosaurs and flying reptiles, here were the most primitive of cavemen, and the last of the Bronze Age barbarians. But there was one more secret that the claws and fangs and sharp-edged spears guarded most of all.
This is the story of the man who tried to find that final secret. When Bradley, the adventurer, dared to cross the last terrible barrier to the heart of Caprona, he entered a world of wonder, terror, and danger beyond the imagination of any man—except Edgar Rice Burroughs.

"It's hard to find the editions I've read of ERB's books here, I've got a lot of old editions inherited from my father. This one is a good way to review a short series...I liked this series, but when you read his books you always must keep in mind the time period he's writing in. "

“We may have liked Verne and Wells and Kipling, but we loved, we adored, we went quite mad with Mr. Burroughs.”
— Ray Bradbury" A quick read. Not as good as the first two in the series, but interesting. "
— Lindsay, 12/7/2013" This first book in the series was by far the best, but I had to see it through. "
— Ken, 11/11/2013" All three books in this series are good. "
— Jim, 11/3/2013" What can I say, I really enjoy the Caprona adventures, which began with "The Land that Time Forgot." This is the weakest of the three books, though, but still fine. "
— Charles, 9/7/2013" Quick and easy read like this whole series is, despite that it is full of danger and action and the inevitable love story. I find the twist Burroughs puts on evolution quite fascinating and to think he wrote this nearly a 100 years ago. A master story teller. "
— Gerhard, 9/30/2012" The final enjoyable story in the series. I liked this one the best. "
— Joshua, 9/21/2012" A satisfying conclusion to one of the better sci-fi stories with totally bananas scientific premise. "
— John, 7/22/2012" The 3rd in a series and the continuation of an uncharted 'lost island' adventure novel from about 19l8. "
— Keith, 9/28/2011" This was more of the same from Mr Burroughs. I read it so that I could finish the trilogy but you have almost the exact same characters and story as the first two books (as well as the Mars books). After awhile it gets boring "
— Allisonperkel, 9/12/2011" I think I've now read all of Edgar Rice Burroughs. What a wondrous and fantastical imagination he had - and he gave the same to his characters, who seem doomed every few pages but then leap free to the next crisis. Easy, fun reading. "
— Bob, 2/17/2011" I like this book a lot but need time to write a proper review. You can check back later if your interested in what I thought. Thanks Gregory D. Rothbard "
— Gregory, 1/22/2011" Liked this the best out of the 3 in the trilogy. "
— Gus, 11/22/2010" Liked this the best out of the 3 in the trilogy. "
— Gus, 7/14/2010" A little bit antiquated, but really cinematically written. The first time I read this book I was about 8 years old, and I read it from my mother's crumbling second-printing copy, now a family heirloom. The perfect way to read such a story! "
— Nova, 1/12/2009" What can I say, I really enjoy the Caprona adventures, which began with "The Land that Time Forgot." This is the weakest of the three books, though, but still fine. "
