"I liked it. Compared to other Patterson books I would say that there is nothing too special or exciting about it, but the story and the characters were all well put together. A good tale of a woman going into hiding after a string of unfortunate and dangerous events, but feels the need to do the right thing. I would recommend this book to anyone who has already read a great deal of Patterson and is just looking for another entertaining one, but I would not recommend this book to someone who is looking to introduce themselves to Patterson (because there are better examples out there that will truly knock ones socks off)."

“Action-packed with twists and turns worthy of Hitchcock.”
— Barnes & Noble, editorial review“Elaina Erika Davis’s narration is crisp and well paced; her tempo accelerates during the book’s many suspenseful moments, adding impact to this literary thrill ride. Additionally, Davis provides complex vocal interpretations of the main and supporting characters. Her rendition of Nina adds maturity, sophistication, and emotional depth to the character. And Davis’s choice of a chipper—almost jolly—Boston accent for the book’s villain makes him all the more monstrous.”
— Publishers Weekly (audio review)“Elaina Davis captures the suspense of this Patterson thriller with fully believable tones of fear.”
— AudioFile“Has all the ingredients of a page-turning summer beach read…An intriguing, intertwined story.”
— BooklistThe prolific Patterson seems unstoppable.
— USA TodayJames Patterson knows how to sell thrills and suspense in clean, unwavering prose.
— PeoplePatterson's novels are sleek entertainment machines, the Porsches of commercial fiction, expertly engineered and lightning fast.
— Publishers Weekly" This was an excellent book to listen to. Just 6 cd's and an interesting story. When James Patterson is good, he's really good. I give it a 7.5 on my 10 scale. "
— Louise, 2/20/2014" Very entertaining. Good story, not scary, but a page-turner nevertheless. Would recommend this to other Patterson lovers. To those of you who have never read Patterson, his short chapters make his books very convenient for those of us who live a busy life. "
— Cynthia, 2/12/2014" Easy book to read, but in these books the good guys always win, the bad guys always die or get arrested. There are a dozen close calls, but the good guy narrowly escapes! Just very, very far-fetched, but easy to read when on vacation. "
— Erika, 1/24/2014" This was a good book by Patterson, but the story line was a bit fantastical in some parts. You can expect short chapters with cliffhanger endings, strong characters, the usual Patterson. Overall though, this wasn't as good as some of his others. I would still recommend for Patterson fans though.... "
— Julie, 1/21/2014" Enjoyed the first half of the book much more than the second half. Became way too predictable at the end. I did enjoy the story though--despite the predictability. "
— Jen, 1/3/2014" My world stopped to read this book! Because of the fast paced plot, I could hardly put the book down! But for some reasons I could not give 5 stars to it! hahahaha! "
— krym, 12/26/2013" Too predictable and too unbelievable. A disappointing book by Patterson. "
— Sandi, 12/25/2013" If I could assign half-stars I would have rated this book 4 1/2 stars. It is a top-notch book, but not quite deserving the 5-star ranking. "
— Richard, 12/21/2013" Far fetched. Read it in a couple of hours. "
— Terri, 12/17/2013" Hackneyed schlock that relies on completely unbelievable hand-of-God style rescues that don't simply require a suspension of reality, but its complete and utter annihilation. A waste of a decent story idea. "
— James, 11/21/2013" You know what you are getting when you read Patterson - a fun afternoon or drive to work if you are audio booking it. I liked this one much better than Guilty Wives - my last Patterson. Mostly I think because I liked this character better. Either way, it was Patterson & it was FUN. "
— Lisa, 11/11/2013" Excellent! Read it in under two days and could not put it down! "
— Lisamomof3boys, 10/24/2013" This story had a lot of plot twist. Some were easily anticipated and others were too easily fabricated; for example., why didn't the Jump killer shoot Charlie prior to dumping him in the ocean.? Overall it was a entertaining story line but not to deep of one. "
— Jcurtis, 10/4/2013" Love this book! Not quite at the end yet. I'm listening to it on cd and it's the weekend. I can't wait for Mondays commute to get going again. The finish was almost like it wouldn't end. It just kept going( the bad suprises). Almost to much. Maybe a 4.5 "
— Lisa, 8/4/2013" JP did it again "
— Andrea, 7/30/2013" One of the best he has put out in a while. "
— Sue, 4/10/2013" Read this book in two days really enjoyed it! "
— Lainy, 2/27/2013" I love suspense thriller books and this one was really good. I like it "

— Robin, 12/29/2012" I really wanted to read a Patterson novel and with this being my first, I'm addicted. I hated to see this book end. The characters were so well written and easy to follow. I would definitely recommend this book. "
— Shaunda, 12/28/2012" Good but not up to the level of a typical Patterson. "
— Bill, 12/17/2012" i am still not a james patterson fan- it was a quick read "
— Laureen, 11/2/2012" Easy fun read but the twist right at the end took the book from 3 to 4 stars. "
— Kellie, 9/7/2012" another quick read... "
— Marilyn, 7/31/2012" This was a great book. Hooked me on the first pages. "
— Denise, 6/18/2012" Twisted..but really good..could not put down. "
