Quotes & Awards

  • “Cynthia Darlow performs with just the right combination of spunk and humility. Darlow has perfected the Maine accent and has ample opportunity to prove herself with a wide cast of lobstermen and other townsfolk…Although Jessica finds herself in several dangerous situations, Darlow is able to portray her level-headedness…[and] render a strong sense of place.”

" A fairly good read, but lots of unbelievable parts. Like when the normally closed-mouthed lobster fishermen talked to Mrs. Fletcher about who did the crime. And why would the sheriff tell her about his investigations, including letting her go along to interview people, etc. "

" Interesting to read about lobster fishing and the industry along with, of course, the mystery. Just another in the series of excellent books to read and enjoy. "

" Another addition to the "Murder She Wrote" books based on the television series. Always entertaining. This book involves a dispute between the lobstermen and their broker and of course, ends in murder.... "

" Jessica's back home in Cabot Cove helping to plan her community's first lobster fest. There is major trouble among the lobstermen and naturally she's in the thick of it. wonderful fluff--almost as comforting as mac and cheese or chocolate. "
