For years, the alien Klikiss robots have pretended to be humanity’s friends, but their seeming “help” allowed them to plant an insidious Trojan Horse throughout the Earth Defense Forces. Now, in the aftermath of a devastating war, swarms of ancient black robots built by the lost insectoid Klikiss race continue their depredations on helpless worlds with stolen and heavily armed Earth battleships.
Among the humans, the Hansas’ brutal Chairman struggles to crush any resistance even as King Peter breaks away to form his own new Confederation among the colonies who have declared their independence.
And meanwhile, the original, voracious Klikiss race, long thought to be extinct, has returned, intent on conquering their former worlds and willing to annihilate anyone in the way.
“Rapid-fire action and panoramic plotting make this a first-class space opera.” —Library Journal

"I like these books by Kevin Anderson because each chapter follows a character. They are great for reading in places where you have small snippets of time like the bathroom, the doctors office, the car waiting to pick up kids, on the morning train, etc. The chapters are short 3-4 pages and only follow one character at a time so it's not too confusing. The characters are also richly developed and the plot is always thickening. Just when you think you've figured it out the author throws something else it the mix which naturally prolongs the saga. Great fantasy, but not for children. It's a bit graphic."

" second time through "
— Scott, 2/17/2014" Story started getting a little slow in this volume. "
— Jessie, 2/13/2014" spring08,sf "
— Orbit, 2/12/2014" Best Sci Fi Series Ever. "
— Cliff, 2/5/2014" Definitely the best so far! "
— Gregorio, 2/4/2014" One of my favorites . Even robots have personality "
— Marc, 1/23/2014" Popcorn science fiction for light reading on vacation. "
— Greg, 1/16/2014" Will it never end? Just one more to go! "
— Aramis, 12/7/2013" i don't think i'm spoiling it to say that this book jumped the shark about 12 times. "
— Andypants, 11/24/2013" This is the 6th in this Sci-Fi series. I managed to read the others in the series over last summer. There's enough interesting plot threads to keep me going, but there is a heavy dose of fantasy in these books that is just not my favorite treatment of space fiction. "
— Fred, 11/18/2013" I liked this book and Anderson added some more story lines to keep the overall story interesting, but there were some plot twists that I expected to be resolved by this point in the series that weren't. I am hoping that they are resolved in the next book. "
— Emily, 11/1/2013" The sixth book in the Saga of Seven Suns, an ambitious space opera with fire, air, earth, and water elementals. And vicious insects and killer robots. That works. The series has a raft of characters and a plot that keeps pulling you along. "
— James, 10/14/2013" This book brings a lot of the plots of this Epic series to a critical juncture. Things don't really look good for anyone. The story is fast paced enough that the pages keep turning and make this book seem a lot shorter than it actually is. "
— Nathan, 10/2/2013" Lots of good stuff going on here, getting all of the pieces in place for the finale of the series. "
— Ken, 8/17/2013" Yep, definitely just want to get the end now. Definitely won't abandon the series, but some of this stuff is just going on a bit long now. "
— Jane, 7/8/2013" I marked read, but trashed is more likely to accurate shortly. I didn't finish it, heck I didn't even get halfway through. I could clearly visualize the characters reading their lines from a TelePrompTer in a monotone on a Monday morning with a bad hangover hoping nobody was watching... "
— Brian, 6/26/2013" 6th book in a 7 book series. I have enjoyed this series. It is a bit predictable at times, other times I am impressed by the creative direction he takes the characters. It's a great book to read before bed, lots of dream material to be found. I have started on the 7th and final book in the series. "
— Mike, 6/12/2013" Kevin has excellent himself, these books are brilliant. "
— Markiles, 1/23/2013" This is great science fiction - excellent character development, complex story arcs and just pure excitement to read. I'm glad I got into the Saga of Seven Suns series after 5 of them had been published as it would have killed me to have to wait long periods in between publishing each book. "
— Jason, 11/21/2012" I had been enjoying this series of seven books but it could have ended at book five. I am now just reading them to complete the set and am finding that I just want it to end already so I can go on to another book...something different. "
— Kim, 9/27/2012" Better than part 4, but too many characters are getting unreasonable. "
— Konrad, 6/4/2012" If you haven't read his Saga yet, please do so! His first book started out very slowly but became very engrossing ever since. "
— Brent, 10/27/2011" The story is starting to flounder...too many threads! Having trouble pulling them all into the thism, if you know what I mean. "
— Leah, 10/5/2011" END ALREADY! "
— Dan, 5/3/2011" Not as good as the first 5 books. The stereotypical stupid-human political subplot ruins the stories of the truly awesome alien beings and cultures conceived and developed throughout the series. "
— Edward, 5/2/2011" Story is getting pretty bleak "
— Jay, 4/6/2011" Really struggled with this book after devouring the preceding 5. Too many threads were wrapped up in book 5 so that 6 feels a little empty for a good part of the book. Looking forward to reading the last book but shall wait till I have caught up on some of the other books in my pile. "
— Rory, 3/28/2011" Yep, definitely just want to get the end now. Definitely won't abandon the series, but some of this stuff is just going on a bit long now. "
— Jane, 3/2/2011" OK, not as good as it could have been, but not bad either. The series is winding down so I'm aiming to finish it. I *really* want the Chairman to die already! "
— Strakul, 2/5/2011" Better than part 4, but too many characters are getting unreasonable. "
— Konrad, 10/28/2010" The series is beginning to bog down as more characters and alien races have been added, taking away from what I really like from the earlier books in the series. "
— MJ, 9/19/2010" i don't think i'm spoiling it to say that this book jumped the shark about 12 times. "
— Andypants, 2/3/2010" I feel this should have been a sequel series instead of a continuation of the first 5 books. That said it was still an entertaining read. The bad guys are a bit more 1 dimensional which makes things a bit obvious and redundant. "
— Jeremiah, 10/19/2009" The plot gets thicker and more insane! "
— Lori, 5/12/2009" Will it never end? Just one more to go! "
