Craving isn’t a bad thing. Has food become more about frustration than fulfillment? Made to Crave is the missing link between a woman’s desire to be healthy and the spiritual empowerment necessary to make that happen. Author Lysa TerKeurst personally understands the battle that women face. In Made to Crave, she will help you: • Break the cycle of “I’ll start again on Monday,” and feel good about yourself today. • Stop agonizing over numbers on the scale and make peace with your body. • Replace rationalizations that lead to failure with wisdom that leads to victory. • Reach your healthy goals and grow closer to God through the process. This book is not a how-to manual or the latest, greatest dieting plan. Made to Crave is a helpful companion to use alongside whatever healthy eating approach you choose — an audiobook and Bible study to help you find the “want to” in how to make healthy lifestyle changes. “Lysa has struck a cord that will resonate with women everywhere. Very simply, we were made to crave . . . and that craving must be met by God alone. Read this book!” — Karen Kingsbury, America’s No. 1 inspirational novelist “Made to Crave may possibly be the most important book I’ve ever read on the matter of weight . . . and I’ve read A LOT! The world will never be at a loss for authors telling us what foods to eat, what foods to avoid, or how to exercise. Yet with all of this knowledge we are unhealthier than ever. Something is missing. And Lysa has tapped into the mystery that has plagued so many of us who battle with the bulge. If you are tired of the endless diet cycle, read Made to Crave. It will change your mind and then it will change your life.” — Mandisa Download and start listening now!

" It took me six months to read this book. Although I really liked it -- and I want to go back and read parts of it again -- I just couldn't take it in big chunks. I would read a chapter and mull it over for quite a while -- but then often forget what I read. But I think Lysa TerKeurst really got it right. "

" Biblically sound and thoughtfully told. "

" I did the bible study series along with reading this book. Lysa explains this in such a great way & pulls scriptures out of the Bible that I have never really considered. It's not a book about weight loss, it a book about a spiritual journey & life change. Excellent! "

" I am part of an online bible study group with Proverbs31 Ministry and this was a topical book. While I'm not someone that really turns to food for comfort reading this book did show me where I could be better in filling my life with more God and less cravings. It was still a great resource of scripture and I took more away from this study than I had thought I would. "

" Good when applied to all areas. Sometimes I wonder why we are so hung up on food in American culture. Not all cultures expect their women to be thin. That's what I didn't like about the book- too much emphaisis on food as a measure of spirituality. "

" This is a great book. Lysa talks to you like you're a friend, sharing with you her experience as God showed her what it means to deny yourself & sacrifice & draw near to Him. She really helps you to learn to deal with emotional eating & to go to God with your issues, instead of food. A lot more than that, too. At first I felt like she was a little overboard with some things, but she clarifies that later on. Good read & i know some of the things she said will stick with me & really help me out in the future. "

" LOVED this book! It really opened my eyes to my issues with food. And that God cares about EVERY aspect of my life ... including what I eat. "

" This book will continue to remain on my "to read" shelf, as even a second read-through hasn't been enough. I will continue to reread until it gets through my thick skull! Excellent book dealing with food cravings as a spiritual battle as well as a physical one. "

" I don't know what I expected. It is very religious, sometimes overly so. But I like the basic idea. Instead of eating when you know you shouldn't, asking God or whatever higher power you're into for help and guidance. Its not shallow and yes, there are bigger problems out there. But stopping enough to think and pray is a big step to not eating that 3rd cookie. There are some good strategies here for coping with our food obsessed culture and our own lack of willpower. "
