Publisher Description

This audio download novel is inspired by the major motion picture, Letters to God, scheduled for theatrical release in spring 2010. Viewers of the film will be eager to hear more of this inspiring story. Tyler, a nine-year-old boy, is stricken with incurable brain cancer and begins to write letters to God. He turns his suffering into spiritual lessons for his widowed mother, his embittered adolescent brother, and a troubled postman. Letters to God probes some of the most important and most-often-asked questions that trouble people of faith: “Why do we suffer?” “Where is God?” “Why do godly, faithful children have to battle cancer?” This inspiring story of hope will help people from all walks work toward greater understanding of God’s presence and care.

"I watched the movie, and then I read the book. Idk which one i liked better. 1 thing I did like was how similar the 2 were. Like I was reding it and going that is the same conversation, as in word for word, as the movie. What I also liked about the book is that there is more to the story, like before the movie starts. I like the message in the story line. I was forced to see it, but I am so glad I did. The only negative thing i have to say, is that the whole time I was reading it, I was like oh I know what the ending is. I still cried at the end of the book, as well as the movie."

" This story is touching, a tear jerker. While the writing style is simplistic, the message of this story is why I rated the book 4 stars. Despite tragedy after tragedy, God works in the lives of all the characters. Not everything in life has a happy ending, but that does not mean God has abandoned someone. The letters that both the dad and Tyler wrote to God show a relationship void of pretense and full of dependence on the Creator. It is a constant reminder to share ALL with Him, to make life a prayer, and to pray in the way that is honest and open and trusting. "

" The book 'Letters to God' is a book I recommend to anyone. It is very inspirational. In the book, there is a little boy named Tyler. His dad dies in a car crash. His dad always wrote letters to God as his prayer. One day, after his dad died, Tyler started reading the letters. He didn't really know his dad because he was young when he died. Tyler started getting headaches. His mom took him to the doctor and he was diagnosed with brain cancer. God plays a big role in Tyler's life now. Does Tyler live or join God in Heaven? You will have to read the book to find out. "

" We went to the Christian book store and found this book and we had to get it! Whenever Fabian has a problem he prays to God and he tells me when I have a problem to pray because "Mommy everytime I pray papa dios always helps me." This contributed to his belief and is one of his favorites. "
