Publisher Description

On the first day of school, Artie falls out of his bed and hits his head. Hard. He tells his mom he’s dizzy and she says:

“You’re just worried about your first day in a new school.”

At breakfast, his little brother, Eddie, splashes syrup in his hair, and there’s no time to wash it. Artie has to go to school with syrup-hair. And then, on the way there, he gets splashed by a puddle that makes him look like he wet his pants. It’s not just the first day of school; it’s the worst day of school.

On the second day of school, Artie falls out of bed and hits his head. Hard. He tells his mom he’s dizzy and she says:

“You’re just worried about your first day in a new school.”

Huh? Today is just like the day before. Can Artie find a way to change it, before it’s the first day of school…forever?

"I thought this book was quite interesting because of the beginning and it repeats over and over again. I started to wonder why is his day starting over again. Then I found out something really interesting and it surprised me. It was so weird because it put in the perspective of the "main character" and I thought to myself something weird is happening. Then I am shocked when I am almost done with the book to find out that it was just a video game played by someone else. It really shocked me because it had the P.o.V set up and it changed to another P.o.V. It was interesting to read though."

" The book is pretty cool! But the ending could have been better, and that is why I am giving it 4 stars. However, the story was so awesome in general that I could hardly drop the book until I finished reading it =] "

" This was an enjoyable story to read with just enough spooky, scary stuff to keep fans of Stine interested but not enough to be off-putting to those of us who don't like spooky, scary stuff! "

" This book is one of the weirdest books I ever read about going to a new school. I rate it 4/5 because some of it makes sense, and some of them don't make sense like it has a graveyard under the school. "

" A fun new R.L. Stine book. I can already think of kids to hand it to. I love the Ground-Hog's day idea and love the way that it plays out. I think kids will love this one. "

" Yikes! Creepy! It sounds like a normal day as a new student in a new town. But something's not right, the day repeats forever but he ends up going through a terrible day. I think this book is the sort of book that should be warned. Do not red this at night, personal experience. "

" I read this book because the kids in my class were really into suspense this year and they wanted me to add more titles to the library. Like most R.L. Stine books, it's sort of thrilling, but not the greatest literature out there. "

" I thought I'd give him another chance. I listened to the first of three discs on the audio and found myself reluctant to put in the next disc. The straight-forward writing and lack of complexity appeals to some young readers, but is bland to my over-exposed palate. Leave it for the kids, I say! "
