The stranger offers to show the traveler the way to Villefore—but the path is dark and overgrown, and the circumstances become increasingly weird and threatening. As the tension builds, it becomes clear to the listener that something horrific is about to happen.

He is well known for his character Conan the Barbarian and is regarded as the father of the sword and sorcery subgenre. Born and raised in the state of Texas, Howard spent most of his life in the town of Cross Plains.
