About the Authors

Nic Stone is an Atlanta native and a Spelman College graduate. After working extensively in teen mentoring and living in Israel for several years, she returned to the United States to write full-time. Her debut novel for young adults, Dear Martin, was a New York Times bestseller and a William C. Morris Award finalist. Odd One Out was an NPR Best Book of the Year and a Rainbow Book List Top Ten selection.

Ibram X. Kendi, the New York Times bestselling author of several books, was named by Time magazine in 2020 as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. His books include Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America, which won the National Book Award for Nonfiction, and two #1 New York Times bestsellers, How to Be an Antiracist, which was also a Sunday Times bestseller, and Four Hundred Souls, coauthored with Keisha N.
