Publisher Description

Perfect for fans of James Dashner's The Maze Runner, Feedback is the heart-stopping sequel to Variant—which Pittacus Lore, author of I Am Number Four, praised as "an intense journey with some of the most shocking twists and turns I've ever read."

Benson Fisher escaped from Maxfield Academy's deadly rules and brutal gangs. He thought that the worst was over.

But now Benson is trapped in a different kind of prison—a town filled with familiar faces. Classmates from Maxfield who Benson had seen die. Friends he was afraid he had killed.

They are all pawns in the school's twisted experiment, held captive and controlled by an unseen force. And while Benson struggles to figure out who, if anyone, can be trusted, he discovers that Maxfield Academy's plans are darker than anything he imagined—and they may be impossible to stop.

"I was happy to see that the sequel to Variant had came out. Good book and it was a quick, easy, and enjoyable read. I feel the ending was rushed though. I hope to see a third book in this series to explain a bit more of what happens to the kids."

" Not much of a cliffhanger than Variant. It was good but NOT promising. The plot was a bit dull... "

" Fantastic book, great way to have a reason for all that happened, and all the fighting, yeah, this was just an excellent book! "

" I loved Variant, but I think Wells wrote himself into a corner. The premise of the series is fantastic, but it's like he had no clear sense of where he was headed with it. The explanations at the end don't really explain much of anything, instead setting up the threads of a worldwide conspiracy that honestly feels like he just pulled it out of his butt at the last moment. Makes me wonder if he's decided to do a third book after all... "

" The juice isn't worth the squeeze. This was not as engaging as Variant, the first novel in this series. It's not a terrible book, it's just disappointing after the promise of the first book. The character motivations are weak, the action is nearly non-existent, and the reveal was disappointing. "
