When twenty-seven-year-old Bette Robinson quits her Manhattan banking job, she knows she won't miss the eighty-hour workweeks, her claustrophobic cubicle or her revolting boss's Quotes of the Day.
Then Bette meets Kelly, head of Manhattan's hottest PR and events planning firm, and suddenly she has a brand-new job where the primary requirement is to see and be seen.
The work at Kelly & Company takes Bette inside the VIP rooms of the city's most exclusive nightclubs, to parties crowded with celebrities and socialites. Soon she's dating an infamous playboy who's great for her career but bad for her sanity -- and scaring off the one decent guy she meets. As her coworkers repeatedly point out, how can you complain about a job that pays you to party? Bette has to agree -- until she begins appearing in a vicious new gossip column. That's when Bette's life on paper takes on a whole new meaning -- and she learns the line between her personal and professional lives is...invisible.

"After reading this, it made me think who could one of the main characters be modelled after? Several people came to mind. Tale of a person pursuing their dream and losing their identity and being reminded to be true to themselves. I could read this book for hours at a time."
— Cherie (4 out of 5 stars)
“This is a solid sophomore novel from Weisberger, who gives us a smart, complex character to root for in Bette.”
— Library Journal" Bleah. Per non parlare dell'autocelebrazione dell'autrice nei ringraziamenti: stucchevole e inappropriata. "
— Claudia, 2/12/2014" Loved this book. Interesting to see how rich live and party. Just glad that my life is nothing like there's but enjoyed getting a glance at that type of lifestyle. A fun and easy read. "
— Bonnie, 2/11/2014" Compared to Lauren's first book, this was definitely a disappointment. It was a great read, very riveting, although plotline was unbelievable. It was hard for me to put it down and I finished in about 3 days. The disappointment came at the ending. It was another character gets despressed and instead of then having a happy ending, it was completely open ended. When I'm reading for fun, I expect a happy ending to my romantic books. If I'm reading for thought provoking, I'll pick a different genre. "
— Kirstin, 2/7/2014" Carino... ma non lascia il segno "
— Maiko76, 2/6/2014" Great book..just goes to show you...it's not as cool as you think it is to be "cool" "
— Kara, 2/6/2014" Really fund to listen to - gossip of the rich and famous. Great escape "
— Liz, 2/3/2014" This is a light easy read. This would be good for anyone who is a fan of Sex and the City. "
— Aileen, 1/20/2014" Excellent book! I love her style. I just wish I had time to read it all in one setting! Because of my job, it did take me two weeks! I will most certainly read her again. Lots of characters and set in NYC, the best city in the world! "
— Tracy, 1/19/2014" Super fab book. A great vacation read. By the same author of the Devil Wears Prada. "
— Karen, 1/18/2014" If you're feeling lazy and want an easy read, this is fun and lets you live vicariously through the main character. :) "
— Aryn, 1/16/2014" If you liked the Devil Wears Prada, you will like this book also. It's a quick read and will make you laugh. "
— Angela, 1/16/2014" Refused to finish this book. "
— Valerie, 1/14/2014" Needed a "beach read." "
— Elizabeth, 1/11/2014" Easy and fun read!! "
— Megantyll, 12/6/2013" Another "fluff" or beach read, but still fun, quick and easy read. "
— Jennifer, 12/5/2013" A really fun read although absolutely pointless. Not one I would necessarily recommend but I did find it entertaining. "
— Kilee, 9/3/2013" Cute...easy "have one more day of vacation and I'm tired of novels that make me think" read. This fit the bill. Pure fluff. "
— Barb, 4/9/2013" The story was cute. The perfect no-brainer book for holidays. "
— Kim, 4/8/2013" Enjoyed every minute of it! "
— Mei, 3/14/2013" Cute read, kinda like a SATC wannabe, but enjoyable. "
— Cheryl, 3/4/2013" Not as good as The Devil Wears Prada but good. "
— Megan, 2/7/2013" Really cute, very New York City romantic comedy! "
— Aja, 12/16/2012" Couldn't get through half of it. Everyone worth knowing isn't worth reading. "
— Jean, 8/3/2012" After reading the Twilight series it hast taken me a bit to get into other books. I was so use to all the excitement and drama in those books. This one so far so good. "
— Maria, 1/10/2012" I enjoyed this book so much more than The Devil Wears Prada!!!! "
— Candie, 12/23/2011" Terrible!! "
— Marjie, 11/6/2011" Good book, but maybe not as good as Chasing Harry Winston (Lauren Weisberger's other novel that isn't a major motion picture!) Still, very enjoyable, even though it wasn't like I couldn't put it down. "
— Jess, 9/12/2011" Great plot. Horrible language. "
— Jessica, 8/27/2011" Good book - you got to read about the inside world of celebrity PR. Makes you wonder how much of it is true :) "
— Natalie, 7/4/2011" This was a good, light read. I listened to the audiobook and Eliza Dushku does a great job! "
— Kristin, 5/19/2011" literary dessert. Fluffy and sweet and sometimes necessary between simple carbohydrates and proteins. "
— Teresa, 5/14/2011" Terribly predicable, but entertaining and funny. Fine for what it is (chick lit). While it had a lot of ties back to The Devil Wears Prada (at least the movie, as I haven't read the book) it also wasn't The Devil Wears Prada 2.0, which is always good. "
— Rachel, 5/9/2011" It was a fun read......I laughed a lot. I have always wanted to experience living in NYC and loved living it through the main character. And, it had an "old fashioned" happy ending! "
— Marcia, 5/9/2011" Meilleur que le Diable s'habille en Prada! A lire si vous aimez les paillettes et la jet set! "
— Vanessa, 4/30/2011" I really like her writing style, but I'm tired of books about spoiled, nasty, rich people and the "innocent" people who get caught in the middle of their escapades. I probably would have found this much more witty if I read it 5 years ago! "
— Katie, 4/29/2011" This book was all over the place. I never felt like I had a firm grasp of the character because so much fluff was added to the chapters leading up to the real story. Much more fluff than was necessary. "
— Lisa, 4/26/2011" This is totally and completely vacuous, but I think that was the purpose of the book. There's no depth or really any multi dimensional characters and it reads like a very formulaic chick lit novel but without any real twists or turns. It's a beach read at best. "
— Diane, 4/22/2011" First: The Devil Wears Prada really stressed me out.

Second: Everyone Worth Knowing is really pointless. Nothing really seems to happen at all throughout the book.

Third: One character has a 7 karat diamond engagement ring. I want a 7 karat diamond ring. "
— Sara, 4/15/2011" Cute easy read, but I found very shallow. "
— Sharon, 4/10/2011" Funny but different from the Devil Wears Prada. "
