About Venus Williams

Venus Williams became a professional tennis player at age fourteen, beating the player ranked number fifty in the world in her first match. The first African American to reach number one as a professional in either the men’s or women’s game, Williams continues to appear at the very top of the professional rankings. In addition, she graduated cum laude with a degree in fashion design from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and went on to partner with national retail chain Steve & Barry’s to launch her athletic and casual clothing line. A multiple Grand Slam singles champion and a three-time Olympic gold medalist, Williams resides in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

About the Narrators

Abby Craden has been a professional actress and voice artist for over sixteen years and can be heard in numerous television and radio commercials, video games, and audiobooks. She has twice won the AudioFile Earphones Award.

Paula Jai Parker is an actress and comedian best known of her roles in the films Hustle & Flow, Friday, Idlewild, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, Phone Booth, She Hate Me, The Genius Club, and as the voice of matriarch Trudy Proud on the Disney Channel animated sitcom The Proud Family. She currently stars as one of five members on TV One’s reality show Hollywood Divas.

Mirron Willis—actor of film, stage, and television—is the winner of the prestigious Audie Award for best narration in 2012 and a finalist for the Audie in 2015, as well as the winner of four AudioFile Earphones Awards for his audiobook recordings. He has worked extensively in film and television and on stage with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Houston Shakespeare Festival, and the Ensemble Theatre, among others. He has recorded some 150 audiobooks, including the Smokey Dalton series by Kris Nelscott and My Song by Harry Belafonte. He resides and records audiobooks on his family’s historic ranch in East Texas.
