"Just put the book down. Great story by a great storyteller, who seems to possess quite the gift for taking a plot which sounds good for a shorter story and manages to pull you along through 400 pages eagerly awaiting what comes next. Unexpected storyline and I thoroughly enjoyed the surprise of what the tale turned out to be. I enjoyed Heart-Shaped Box, loved HORNS, and am now picking up my signed copy of NOS4A2 to start devouring that beast. Read this story, where the devil may be the hero, even though he knows in the end he can't be."

" Liked this story. Just seemed so original of an idea. Good plot. Page turner. "
— Kassandra, 2/6/2014" Pretty good, very interesting look at how faith can change based on traumatic events. If you like horror and shows like Criminal Minds then you will probably like it. "
— Cheryl, 2/3/2014" Hill nailed this one. I highly recommend it. Highly entertaining throughout. I don't want to spoil anything, so do yourself a favor and read this book. "
— Jay, 1/30/2014" Just finished Horns and liked it but not as much as Joe Hill's other book Heartshaped Box. Horns is about Ig and Lee and their rivalled love for Merrin. Merrin is brutally murdwered and Ig is suspected as the killer. he grows horns a year later and the story is about how those influence a lot of his decisions. He can also know what people are actually thinking and what they really did in the past if he touches them. I didn't find it as scary or menacing as the other book and was a little confused at times. "
— Maggie, 1/28/2014" very original. I enjoyed reading his and look forward to reading more from him. I thought the first book was better, though. "
— Candace, 1/27/2014" 3.5 out of 5, to be more accurate. Don't know why I waited so long to read this one. Couldn't put it down last night. Heart Shaped Box is still my favorite of Hill's so far, but I'm starting NOS4A2 today, so we'll see if HSB holds it's top spot... "
— Beth, 1/21/2014" Great engaging read! "
— Mike, 1/16/2014" Enjoyed the story, felt a little tongue in cheek. Would recommend as simple pass the time book, liked learning the story of the lead characters, just not as much depth as Heart-shaped Box. "
— Louisa, 1/11/2014" I really enjoyed Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill so when I saw this on sale, I snatched it up. His books remind me of early Dean Koontz with a little dash of his dad's humor thrown in (his dad is Stephen King). "
— Ellen, 12/14/2013" A tragic, dark humored story. while it may be sacrilegious he combines the best skills of his parents, he creates defined, authentic characters like his dad *Stephen King* and can finish with a viable climax like his mom *Tabitha King* "
— James, 12/12/2013" It's getting 4 stars only because I was a little disappointed with the ending. But I really did enjoy it. "
— R.G, 8/16/2013" This book was just fantastic. It took a while for it to really get it's hooks into me, but when it did...WOW. I couldn't put it down. A great read I would recommend this to anyone who likes, humor, horror, and violence all rolled up in one. "
— Aaron, 3/18/2012" I don't often read horror (outside of comics), but am really enjoying Joe Hill's "Locke and Key" comic series so I thought I'd give this a try. Plus, he made it sound really interesting at Comic-Con. Really fun, funny, sad, read. Plus a guy turns into a demon. "
— Shaun, 7/7/2011" I kinda don't know where to come down on this book. I like me protagonists heroic, and this guy wasn't. Well put together story, kinda creeped me out. Mission accomplished I suppose! "
— Lee, 8/31/2010" I wondered if I would like this, not having read Hill's debut novel and fearing that Horns would exude the whiff of the heavy-handed morality play that often marred his father's work. I'm happy to report my fears unfounded. "
