He is the president of Toward Tradition, a nonprofit educational organization, and the founder of Cascadia Business Institute. His articles have appeared in such publications as the Wall Street Journal, National Review, the American Enterprise, the Washington Times, and others. He and his wife are enthusiastic sailors and live on Mercer Island, Washington, where they homeschool their seven children.
