About the Author

Rosamunde Pilcher was born in Lelant, Cornwall in 1924. Pilcher began her writing career in 1949 as an author of Mills and Boon romances under the name Jane Fraser. She published ten such novels, the last is The Keeper’s House, published in 1963. Her novels The Shell Seekers and September topped the New York Times bestseller lists, remaining there for months to prove their extraordinary staying power. Her unsurpassed storytelling skills and remarkable talent are equally portrayed in her rich, romantic and satisfying stories.

About the Narrators

George Newbern is an Earphones Award–winning narrator and a television and film actor best known for his roles as Brian MacKenzie in Father of the Bride and Father of the Bride Part II, as well as Danny in Friends. As a voice actor, he is notable for his role as Superman on the Cartoon Newtork series Static Shock, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited. He has guest starred on many television series, including Scandal, The Mentalist, Private Practice, CSI: Miami, and Numb3rs. He holds a BA in theater arts from Northwestern University.

Lynn Redgrave, a member of Britain’s greatest acting family, is internationally known for her work on stage, screen, and television. As narrator of the World of Philosophy series, she brings to life the timeless and vital themes of the world’s great philosophical traditions.
