Encouraged by the immense success of the book, Carroll wrote a second part of the story a few years later, titled Alice Through the Looking Glass.

Therefore, in the book, known fragments of reality are arranged into completely new, often nonsensical wholes, and real characters, mixed with fantastic ones, look and behave differently than in life.
