Publisher Description
Experience the feral passion of the Leopard people in this thrilling novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan.
Bred by capricious parents for his innate leopard-shifting abilities, billionaire Jake Bannaconni has spent his life in an emotional vacuum—especially after a tragic twist of fate left him to raise his infant son alone. But when his path crosses that of an enigmatic young woman, Jake’s life takes a detour he never fathomed.
There is something irresistible about Emma Reynolds—something Jake can’t live without. Hiring her as his son’s nanny will keep her close. And warm. And under watch. She’s the first human to stir something in Jake he’s never felt before. But she may not be at all what she seems. And what’s raging between them is pure animal instinct—out of control, burning wild, and as hot as the lick of a flame.
“Christine Feehan is at the top of her game.”—Midwest Book Review

"I really loved this book too! I can't decide if it was better than the first or not, but it was definitely great. Something that I really didn't like about it was the book cover and the little picture that's always on the first page after the cover in her books. The guy on the cover looked old and not very sexy. I mean he's all right, but not cute enough to be on the cover of a sex novel. And the pic on the inside was just plain weird. Same older guy with leopard spots down his not very impressive stomach. Stupid. The other book had a really great picture of a super hot half-naked dude who looked just like the character he portrayed. I really hope she writes books about Drake, Joshua, and Conner, I want to learn more about them. Especially Drake, ooooh and Conner, he sounds sexy and dangerous. Btw the sex was Hot! Hot! Hot! and Rough! Rough! Rough! Me likey a lot!!!!!"

" Could not put it down. Fast paced suspenseful page turner! "
— Tiffany, 2/11/2014 -
" Ugh, I usually enjoy Feehan's shapeshifter stories but this one featured an ultra alpha male lead who was too cavemanish and calculating for my taste. I mean he loved his kids because he knew it would impress his intended love interest, and spent time with them to let her see how caring he could be. Sure he eventually truly came to care for them, in his own stinted way, but this character's overall outlook and approach to life just turned me off. And yes I know he was damaged as a youth and had issues, but I still had a hard time connecting why the female lead fell for him. ( Other than hormones) "

" Wow!!!! 5* is not enough!!!!!! A MUST READ!!!! "

" This book shows that a woman doesn't have to be a door mat to love a dominate male. I will definitly be reading the other books in this series. "

" Great book in the leopard series, would recommend reading these to anyone who likes reading about shifters and is bored of the norm like werewolves. I prefer these now! "

" Feline Shifter? Check. Angst due to abuse in past? Check. Smexy hot leads with fiery discourse? Check. Yup, it's a Ms. Feehan book. Enjoyable and a good read. "

" Hmmm, not really sold on the whole shape shifter thing. Leopard people? Just too unconvincing for me. "
— Rachel, 3/29/2012 -
" I liked this one much more than the other. I liked the ruff n tuff Jake. I liked the story and I liked the interaction. The only reason I didn't give it a 5star is b/c the sex felt repetitive and not as intense as it should be considering the nature of Jake. "
— Mistress, 1/23/2012 -

— Kate, 9/29/2011 -
" I liked how throughout the entire book he was looking at everything as if it was a business strategy, right up until the end. No matter how scarred a person is on the inside, if the right person comes along, they can fix it with enough love, attention, and commitment. :) "
— Tyler, 9/6/2011 -
" not bad, some of the sex was a bit much, but on the whole, excellent. "

" That one I had pleasure reading. The heroine wasn't some empty-headed doll and she gave the dangerous hero a run for his money. I liked her nurturing nature. "
