"Let's see... Its been a few years since I've read this book. So... Twig finally joins his father Quintus on the Stormchaser and he meets tons of other awesome characters. They are on a quest to find The Great Storm that will bring Stormphrax to the Academy so that it will stay a float and not let go of the anchor chain. So this is a daring quest and an adventurous book with a few mistakes made along the way. As you can see I can't remember much from this book but I can remember the first book and the last book of Twig's trilogy much better. I don't know why this one isn't as memorable as the other ones but it's still good."

“The narrative will cast a spell over readers from the beginning with its utterly odd, off-kilter sense of logic and a vocabulary that is equal parts Dr. Seuss and Lewis Carroll.”
— Publishers Weekly" The second in the Edge Chronicles--Stormchaser Twig ventures with the crew of the sky ship Stormchaser to collect stormphrax. Disaster strikes the sky ship. Twig and the crew abandon ship leaving Twig's father still aboard his broken craft. Twig lands in the Twilight Woods where reality is shifting and madness just a though away. "
— Cheryl, 2/10/2014" I loved this book! not only did the unusual plot catch my eye. but also the characters and the pictures in the book, you don't see many books with pictures now days "
— Charlytte, 2/5/2014" Probably the best out of the 3. But still lacked character development. "
— Melinda, 2/5/2014" The story format was different, was quite a bit darker than the 1st in the series and had some politics that were hard for my 10 year old to understand. Still very intriguing with fascinating pictures. Think we will wait to read the 3rd. "
— Michelle, 2/4/2014" The second of the Edge Chronicles was better than the first, though probably for a slightly older audience (it's a little gorier and darker than the first book) but the I love how it's developed on the solid foundation of the first volume. For this reason i've left it firmly in the YA category and didn't think i'd consider it a "childrens" book. "
— Kristina, 2/3/2014" Great book... enjoyed it much more than 1st book. It was exciting and wasn't so repetitive. "
— Deborah, 2/3/2014" Very imaginative has alot of action. Realy good. "
— Ainsley, 2/1/2014" Definitely better the second time around. My favorite part is still when Twig comes into his own near the end of the book. I found it slightly far-fetched that after two years on a sky pirate ship, that Cloud Wolf taught Twig to fly, regardless of over-favoritism or not. In the beginning, Twig reminded me a lot of what he was like in the first book, and I found it comforting to see him with a home, and not so lost by the end. "
— Olivia, 1/30/2014" More enjoyable than the first in the series because Twig develops a backbone and finally things start going well, but I found the transformation a little abrupt (tho not difficult to believe). As with the first, when characters die, they just die, and sometimes it is gruesome. "
— Elizabeth, 1/20/2014" great story of trimph and tribute were many backstabbers, traitors and enemies hide behind every conner. "
— Tim, 1/12/2014" to me this is a really good book. "
— Elizabeth, 1/5/2014" Much more exciting then the last book, though quite the cliffhanger to deal with. "
— Stephanie, 11/8/2013" This book has a bit of a slow start, but after I got into it, I enjoyed it more than the first on in the series. A little dark and gruesome, but some themes and imaginative creatures. "
— Erika, 11/4/2013" This book was amazing!!!!! i think this shoul be a newberry award winner! "

— Connie, 5/24/2012" formulaic. i also started to get worried that this could become a neverending sky pirate hardy boys. it's not bad though. not bad. also not notable in the least. sky pirates. vampirates. for much better books, go for the peter ones. "
— Magila, 2/18/2012" impressive read but not a read that you shouldn't enjoy. i wasn't not impressed. "
— Jjohn, 12/18/2011" Though I enjoyed the first book in this series, this one was definitely an improvement. The plot was more coherent, and read more like a novel than a series of events. Though I have to admit, I was rather surprised by the sheer amount of death -- of both good guys and bad guys -- in a YA book! "
— Veronica, 7/17/2011" Just finished this and it was just as good as all of the series. "
— Jessica, 3/20/2011" Probably the best out of the 3. But still lacked character development. "
— Melinda, 2/23/2011" This is a fun series so far. A bit dark in places, silly in others, but you can't help but love Twig and his peculiar companions. "
— Aimee, 2/1/2011" Saya suka sekali buku yang satu ini, kesan fantasi dan ilustrasi yang digunakan benar-benar khas tahun 80-an. Dan ini cukup mengingatkan saya akan film-film fantasi jaman itu. <br/> "

— Connie, 10/2/2010" I'm really liking this series. Can't wait to read the next. "
— Nivette, 9/24/2010" impressive read but not a read that you shouldn't enjoy. i wasn't not impressed. "
