Publisher Description
The Ray Bradbury Short Story Collection brings together six powerful works from Ray Bradbury, one of the most influential voices in science fiction and speculative literature. Spanning cosmic adventure, psychological tension, and deeply human reflection, this collection showcases Bradbury at his most imaginative and emotionally resonant.
Inside these pages, readers will encounter the quiet wonder and melancholy of A Little Journey, the apocalyptic dread of Asleep in Armageddon, and the sharp psychological edge of Defense Mech. Stories like I, Mars and Jonah of the Jove-Run explore humanity’s fragile place in the vastness of space, while Lazarus Come Forth blends resurrection, war, and moral consequence into a haunting science-fiction parable.
Written in Bradbury’s signature lyrical style, these stories balance futuristic speculation with timeless human themes—fear, hope, sacrifice, memory, and survival. Ideal for longtime fans and new readers alike, this collection offers a compelling introduction to Bradbury’s early science fiction and a vivid reminder of why his work continues to shape the genre.
Perfect for readers who enjoy classic science fiction, thoughtful speculative tales, and literary storytelling with emotional depth.
