About Mato Sato

Born in London, England, Annie Wilde spent her childhood in the wilds of the Suffolk countryside. She returned to London at age sixteen and became a hairdresser. After a lifetime of full of adventure, she retired to the island of Sicily and re-discovered sketches and stories that she’d shared with her children when they were young. Her plan did not include becoming an author in her 70s, but since embarking on this new journey, she has let her vivid imagination run wild as she brings the adventures of Emma Puff, her dog Rusty, and all the other lovable characters to life.
