The two that are one must become the one that is all. One to save the world, one to destroy it.Sophie and Josh Newman traveled ten thousand years into the past to Danu Talis when they followed Dr. John Dee and Virginia Dare. And it’s on this legendary island that the battle for the world begins and ends.
Scathach, Prometheus, Palamedes, Shakespeare, Saint-Germain, and Joan of Arc are also on the island. And no one is sure what—or who—the twins will be fighting for.
Today the battle for Danu Talis will be won or lost.
But will the twins of legend stand together?
Or will they stand apart—one to save the world and one to destroy it.
"The pacing never lets up, and the individual set pieces are fine mixtures of sudden action, heroic badinage and cliffhanger cutoffs."-Kirkus Reviews

"As the final book of this series, it was great! I didn't want to put it down when I was reading. The author tied up all the loose ends in a specatular ending that I didn't see coming! I enjoyed this series a lot, but this last one I think is the best."

" This is my favorite young adult series! "
— Shannon, 2/19/2014 -
" Definitely mixed feelings but I find that the resolve to everything is alright. Questions pop, obviously, because nothing could stop curiosity but it isn't the kind that'd hurt your brain. "
— Rizkyka, 2/17/2014 -
" Perfect ending to a perfect series. Tied up every question and had many great surprising that kept me on my toes until the very end. "
— Christopher, 2/14/2014 -
" I loved this series and was sad to see it end. Ultimately, the book focuses on the battle to save humankind and earth. Scott has huge temporal shifts in this novel that my non-science fiction brain had trouble keeping up with. "

" Great book. Great end to the series although I would have liked a tad more detail about the aftermath of it all. Definitely one series I am sad to see end, but will re-read at least once more. "

" Wow. What an ending to this ridiculously rich series! I'm not even sure what to say other than it was a fantastic finale and the author provided enough twists right to the very end that had me exclaiming aloud. I highly, highly recommend this series. "

" Star Wars +Anthony & Cleopatra + Sherlock Holmes = This series. "
— Paul, 6/24/2013 -
" The final one in the series. Some heartbreaking moments, some surprising ones too. If you aren't familiar with the series, it's a good one for fans of Rick Riordan and Brandon Mull. "
— Hoover, 6/23/2013 -
" It just got too convoluted and confusing at times. I enjoyed the read, but it's not a favourite. Fun series for sure, though! "
— Rebecca, 5/19/2013 -
" Stunning read, albeit not quite feeling all of the things. Definitely a sweeping epic feel that's difficult to attain. I think of American Gods when I think of this book, which says something. "
