About Kate Summerscale
Kate Summerscale, formerly the literary editor of the London Telegraph, is the author of several books, including The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher, a number one bestseller in the United Kingdom and winner of the Samuel Johnson Prize for Nonfiction and the British Book Awards Book of the Year. Her first book, The Queen of Whale Cay, won a Somerset Maugham Award and was shortlisted for the Whitbread Biography Award.
