With a framing story, this book tells the three different perceptions of the Kobayashi Maru test: Chekov, Sulu, and Scott. But, James Doohan is the perfect choice as narrator. He flawlessly mimics voices of all the Enterprise crew. But, the final third of the novel revolving around Scott is the keystone to the story arch. And, no one can characterize Montgomery Scott like the man who owned the role.Flawless. "
