"Wright is simply masterful in rooting our concept of Jesus in His 1st century setting. One of the more challenging aspects of this book is being made to truly deal with Jesus the God-MAN. Wright's exploration of Jesus' humanity - learning, growing, discovering - was off-putting at first until I embraced the full meaning of his incarnation and recognized lingering gnostic tendencies in my perceptions. This is required reading."

About N. T. Wright
N. T. Wright is the former bishop of Durham and senior research fellow at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University. He is one of the world’s leading New Testament scholars and the award-winning author of many books, including: After You Believe, Surprised by Hope, Simply Christian, Interpreting Paul, and The New Testament in Its World, as well as the Christian Origins and the Question of God series.
About James Langton
James Langton, an Earphones Award–winning narrator, trained as an actor at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and later as a musician at the Guildhall School in London. He has worked in radio, film, and television, also appearing in theater in England and on Broadway. He is also a professional musician who led the internationally renowned Pasadena Roof Orchestra from 1996 to 2002.
